I'd like to take off and clean the bed curtain on our new to us Hymer
It appears to be screwed in place around the lower edge to the bed frame and have multiple plastic channel fixings around the top edge.

Has anyone removed one to clean it and what cleaning method did you use .
A VERY gentle machine wash would be easiest but I'm frightened of damage to the material from the plastic channel sections .

Soak in a bath with some sort of cleaner ? Send on for drycleaning? ( Though I suspect the plastic channels would make em refuse?)

Ta 👍

I have a 2003 B544 and it's a simple operation to remove and replace the curtain.
At the top there's a channel the top clips into and at the bottom about six short fixings by the mattress that can slide out either way.
I put it in the bath with washing machine detergent, rinse, drip dry and replace.
Did they complicate things on later models ?

If you mean the curtain the is ‘fixed’ to the bed ours is on a plastic ‘rail’-just unclips, start one end, (and clips back in) the small clips are the same.
Cleaning/washing it is a bit like trying to wash a snake (not that I’ve tried washing a snake) did mine in a large bucket but the bath would be a good option.
Use warm water and whatever soap you normally use, and a good drying day as I wouldn’t put it into a tumble dryer!
When you put it back up just clip one end in and follow round pushing the next bit in, it won’t pull into place like an awning.
If you use steam be very careful with the plastic rail!
Glad you posted the question as it has reminded me I have to renew the elastic in ours, it getting a bit baggy when the bed is in the up position.
