Drew and Louie on tour (lots of dog photos!)

Another day of rain, albeit light rain. Had a walk about Confolens this morning and a longer walk this afternoon to Chateau de St Germain de Confolens.

Not much happening today, just relaxing with short dog walks and letting them have a swim in the river.
Reading a good book called the Nightingale. Hiding in the shade today as my spring time sun rash has appeared and is driving me mad with itchiness 😩

Lovely otters there! Are you finding France to be dog friendly-ie cafes and restaurants? Can you take them in any attractions or are you having to do things one at a time? We'd like to go abroad with our dog but she has separation anxiety so we don't leave her alone in the van. I'd be interested to know how you are finding the French react to your dogs.

We have taken our dogs to France 5-6 times now over the past few years. It’s so much more relaxed here I find! They’ve been in cable cars, glaciers, chateau gardens! Beaches don’t seem to allow them in the summer months.
We don’t really go to restaurants etc as we usually like to eat in the MH.
We do get a few people admiring the dogs but not many! Most folk seem to ignore them! They had a walk round a large Brocante this morning, indoors and out, no problem.
This most recent trip, the most stressful part was getting the dogs paperwork in order!!
We also nearly always use the tunnel too as we can remain in the MH with the dogs.
Give it a go!

Now at a tiny site at Le Moulin de Saint Laurent. Arrived in the rain, walked the boys alongside the Canal du Midi. Saw (what we thought were) two cranes in a field?
Rain forecast for tomorrow too ☔

Moved on today (after being pushed out of the last pitch again 😫). Now in Moissac.
Lovely walk along the river and onto the canal aqueduct and path into town.

Yesterday was a complete write off due to the rain! Non stop for 21 hours 😩 it’s what I would expect in Oban, not the south of France!!
Here’s a wee photo of Louie chilling tonight 🐾❤️

We're getting a great tan here in Eastbourne, wall to wall blue skies all day today though more cloud forecast tomorrow and we may even get some rain, first for about 3 weeks. Still envy you being in France though, hopefully we may make it later next month.

We are hopeful the weather is about to change for the better 🤞🏻
Hope you manage a trip and get the sun ☀️

Hello boys, this is Honey, she’s nearly 9 months old

We’ve all just driven through France - went through the tunnel early last Friday - and are currently half way down Italy, heading for Ancona on Friday.
We’re loving seeing the pictures of your photogenic boys enjoying their holiday. You inspired Honey to start her own thread about her trip!

She is absolutely gorgeous 🐾❤️

We are now at a site in Gruissan, very thorough check in, required both of our names and dates of birth and also first time we’ve ever been asked to produce the dogs vaccination cards. She even asked for the dogs names!
Drew and Louie had a swim in the Med this morning, too hot this afternoon to have them out.

If you look closely you can see the famous bridge in the background.
