Double glazed window on Hymer b904pl ?

CazPaul do you know where the person who replaced the double glazing with single had it done?
No sorry, I know he took the windows out himself and took the inner frames out of the outer frame. He said the glazing firm then replaced the glass with single glazed and he then put the windows back in.

Ha ha that makes it sound very simple and straight forward.

No it’s not lol, he had to find indoor storage, get someone familiar with Concordes to help him. But he says at least it’s the last time it will be done now it’s single glazed.

Autoglas zentrale Melle will not put single glazed in I asked them to on ours, that’s almost certainly because it’s great business for them.

We asked insurance and was told its not covered as its wear and tear. Thanks for all the help on this thread. We are still dealing with this for now by covering the window with the silver screen when we park up. It seems to keep it pretty clear. It looks like the only solution for us is a trip to Germany.
Hilary & Glenn, if the misted window faces the sun at all, get a black bin liner big enough to cover the internal side of the glass, and wedge it between the glass and the concertina blind. Leave until ready to drive. This will dry out the moisture, but only temporarily, as only repair or replacement will cure the problem.
On the Hymer, I had a couple of years success with that tip, and all cleared for MOTs. (y)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Thanks Jock will give that a go. We've got the MOT coming up in August. It passed last year but it's always a worry. Should we also put the silver screen on or just the bin liner?
Actually thinking about it that's a stupid question
