I have had two Thor Four Winds RVs , one or two minor glitches following delivery of the last new one but otherwise loved them.
Unfortunately often a bad one whoever produced a product.

I was 30 when I ordered my first RV

Levelling jacks, Dash and Roof AC, built in automatic 5Kva generator. glass double glazing, double door fridge freezer, water filtration, Ice maker, reversing camera, mains and gas water heating (6 Gallon) Marine toilet plus loads more

The 12 month old Fiat Swift Kon Tiki we sold when the Gulf Stream arrived has absolutely none of those things ( It may have had a Carver Cascade water heater so a mains element)

It didn't seem that I'd gone backwards

My current RV is a Winnebago View and I love it.
I would no more say that every RV is great, than I would say that all European motorhomes are basic, backward, overloaded and boring! Oh and having taken them apart for over 30 years I assure you that some manufacturers are appalling

The truth is somewhere in the middle.

I prefer RV's as I love the slides for the extra space it gives us

Nor would I say that all European vans are shit because some one here rejected one

I think the plan is, from memory Hymer USA got into trouble so Thor bought the Edwin Hymer Group

It seems such a gamble to buy any MH or RV brand new..... we let some other poor sod sort all the problems before buying used (well used! )

I don't know USA law but in the UK wouldn't you be rejecting this piece of awful finish and fit?

Hee seemed more taken up with trying to trash Thor industries than getting it sorted by the guys that had his money, and as he said himself maybe he should have looked a bit harder before he bought it.

somethings you just have to see to understand the full story... I think this was one of them.. some of the stuff he shows is beyond belief

but I agree, many vids are just dross ..

On two RVs I ´ce owned and hired the most annoying point on both was the noise of the «’Furnace’ hot air heating. I though the Truma was noisy on full heat but the blown air in the RV s was in a different league.

I find it amazing that the US furnace has been fitted for many years with little or no change. It’s noisy, you get hot then cold before the stat cuts in again.
For me one of those compromises.
