Just been reading about someone who recently broke down on the motorway in France and had to be repatriated.

She recommends that in addition to your own High Viz vest, your pet(s) should also have one.

Makes sense to me and it's something I never thought of before.

On the basis that you will be in direct contact with your pet on the verge ( hopefully) if he gets hit for lack of visibility, I think you wont do well either.

We always had a reflective jacket for our dogs BUT when we were picked up the breakdown truck wouldn’t have dogs in the passenger area.

And buy them a trolley for when they get tired.

When I broke down & asked for info on here I was told that in France the dog can go anywhere.Hotel rooms, which he did,, taxi, same again, hotel restaurant ,ditto, hire car, cab of the breakdown truck which was only a single cab .
Another to bear in mind ,especially here in spain, is that most gruas are single cab & if there are more than two of you then all the rest are usually left in the MH on the breakdown truck.
