Well to be fair I've always said folk know the jobs they're getting in to when they apply for them so soldiers go to war , police should get involved breaking up violence and ambulance crews attend all forms of death .

Its the way it is.
We joined to save lives, not clean up. I am sorry Tam, that is an incredibly thoughtless attitude. I rarely argue in here but that comment is out of order. If we all took that attitude you wouldn't have any emergency services. I hope you pressed enter before thinking about what you have just said.

I accept it's part of the role, but its not just us who suffer, there's those who find the body, those who get questioned about allowing you to have the tablets, those who get asked why they didn't spot the issues. Just because it's part of the role it doesn't mean it is reasonable to just say it's their job. I point out all this out so that people don't take a flippant attitude to killing themselves. Of course people do kill themselves, and they are ill, often thinking they are doing people a favour and it is often very sad for the family

I agree everyone banged their saucepans in covid but the MHS staff were doing exactly what they get paid for😇

Having said that if you're having issues then there are people to talk to but not me I'm a hard bastard🤣
I don't recall asking people to bang their saucepans, I found it embarrassing tbh. None of the crap I see or take really bothers me, but I have seen really good, kind, thoughtful people who society needs, badly damaged.

I'll remember how tough you are next time you post a complaint about something. Or when you go to the GP next and he/she says they are a hard bastard and don't come to him/her complaining about your pain or whatever. 🤣

Could we possibly stay off the old age dependency/illness topic please as I read threads like Tam's to take my mind off what's happening ref my mum at the moment. I know you can't see the 'Getting old' thread in the U-shaped lounge Tam but suffice to say things are pretty dire and I'm not able to be with her due to being in Spain. 😐

Well we will have to agree to disagree . I think it's inhumane to expect people to enjure a life of pain or suffering.

It should be entirely their choice when they go. And be allowed some dignity.

Not all lives should be saved .

My mother was a matron. My father a paramedic and my sister a paediatric epilepsy and neurology specialist.

All of them at various times agreed with that statement.

I also get tired of people saying suicide is cowardly or the person wasn't of sound mind etc....yes there may be people in that category but not all . There are many who would simply prefer to be dead than alive at that point.

Personally I think it takes courage to act on that.

I'd prefer they didn't even bother to recover the body...just let me go where and when I please.

I don't disagree with any of that to be honest, simply the some of your suggested solutions.

Well its because I'd want to chose the quickest least painful option .

I'd rather be in bed falling asleep while a paid professional assistant overdosed me on morphine . But I think Switzerland is the only place thst offers that service unless I'm mistaken.

Anyway let's change the subject

I ain't suicidal lol . I have been in the past many years ago but not these days 😁

Tell ye what though . My fridge doesn't like this local gas , my internal fridge fan has ran non stop since I switched to it. ..

It sits between 10 and 12 degrees in the fridge...

Freezer seems OK as everything still frozen but it's obviously working harder to keep cool despite me keeping the fridge side out the sun as much as possible.

We did the paste on the fins didn't we?
Aye

It normally sits around 5,6° but since I switched to Morocco gas it's not been below 10 according to the temp guage.

I imagine it's the same on other folks fridges but if you've no temp guage you might not notice.

That English guy Peter said his doesn't like it either.

Hopefully it doesn't cause any issues over the few weeks I need to use it

I expect the chimney will be sooting up nicely but you have not been running it long enough on that gas to cause any problems yet.
Sounds like the gas has a low calorific value, I wonder what they put in it.

I've heard it's more butane than propane but no idea otherwise. I'll have to clean the chimney when back in Spain.

External fans were off and on a few times today too

Is this the Concorde that’s appeared on the garage Instagram?

Aye that's the one ...got primered today.

Primer always looks OK...its the top coat they struggle with but they don't sand or flatten the primer before applying the top coat.

Butane has a higher calorific value than propane so should work better all the time temperature is above 5 or 6°.

What pressure is your regulator?

If they don’t flat the primer I reckon it could look a bit rough where get took the stickers off down to bare metal.

Time will tell 😏

I think it'll look rough anyway ...I can't see it having a good finish.. looks like they're painting everything the one colour , window frames locker frames etc ...there will be overspray around all those lockers and inside each lip.

I've no idea what exactly he originally planned to have done because when I arrived there it had hardly been touched . Had black decals across bonnet then up the sides around cab windows etc but paintwork looked fine.

Not sure if he originally planned a full respray or whether it's a result of graphic removal gone wrong.

But it was the topic of conversation among many having work done.

Most were older vans getting full paint jobs the newer ones were mostly just repairs to bumpers etc .
