We joined to save lives, not clean up. I am sorry Tam, that is an incredibly thoughtless attitude. I rarely argue in here but that comment is out of order. If we all took that attitude you wouldn't have any emergency services. I hope you pressed enter before thinking about what you have just said.Well to be fair I've always said folk know the jobs they're getting in to when they apply for them so soldiers go to war , police should get involved breaking up violence and ambulance crews attend all forms of death .
Its the way it is.
I accept it's part of the role, but its not just us who suffer, there's those who find the body, those who get questioned about allowing you to have the tablets, those who get asked why they didn't spot the issues. Just because it's part of the role it doesn't mean it is reasonable to just say it's their job. I point out all this out so that people don't take a flippant attitude to killing themselves. Of course people do kill themselves, and they are ill, often thinking they are doing people a favour and it is often very sad for the family
