New to MH do I need a wastemaster got one from our caravanning days
Would it be useful. Thanks in advance

I use this, it low enough to get under the outlet, well it is unless I’ve sunk into the ground a bit, but never leave it in place, just use it when required. Holds 20 litres.

Wouldn’t want to carry the wastemaster with me, far too big and bulky.

Do you have a link to a site where I could buy this? Seems a good idea for the sites that do not have the drive over drains (there are a couple here).

Good Afternoon

Ad you can see from the varying responses there is no correct answer. Only your own experience will decide.
We had one originally but it was bulky to carry on board ( no garage) in the shower.
Changed to the smaller flatter one but this not on wheels and quite heavy when full.
Now have settled with two collapsible buckets. So long as you happy to walk back and forth to an emptying point. Or if tank not full and no drive over drain we just wait till home and empty then. ( no good if on storage site)
You will find what suits you in time!

I wouldn’t be without one.
It would only fit in our garage if I took the wheels off, which was a bit of a pain, so I made a cradle for it, where the spare wheel would go if I had one.
The padlock is just more secure than a split-pin, not because I thought it might get pinched.

Always used a bucket if no drive over facility. Bucket emptied two or three times a day.

Amuses me when people complain about the anti-social behaviours of others but are quite happy to dump grey waste on a pitch.

We carry these Here and only ever use them when we are on a site for a long time (over 10 days) as our waste tank is 150 litres (half the fresh) and if we are all setup I don't want the hassle of moving everything just to empty grey water. These fold flat and take up no room and can hold 20 litres, which is perfect (usually i just empty daily and never fill more than 1.5 of these). I only ever use them though if staying somewhere for a long time.

Just depends on what you can put up with really, if moving is no problem then why use them
Probably very handy and pretty deep too, as this guys caught a fish in his. Ideal for fishing in the comfort of your own home when it’s peeing down outside 🤭😁

We carry one. There are a couple of places in Spain and France where we stay for a while visiting friends and it's useful then. They don't weigh much empty and take up space in our large garage which otherwise would fill up with other heavier crap.

What about the filters I’ve seen advertised. Supposedly filter out the bits and cleanish water then drains away. No good?

But it isn't just the bits, the grey water stinks.
Yes it really does stink which makes you wonder why? I'm sure its not the shower water which is usually soapy with shampoo and soap so it must be the small elements of food decomposing in the washing up water. Someone could probably make some money making a product to make it odourless but it would still be hazardous waste before people start thinking they could then dispose of it anywhere!!

I sometimes have my magic tap on the dribble setting on grass. :imoutahere:

Pete

+1

Many of the places I stop there is no objection to, even ask you to, wet the grass. So after dark set to dribble and by morning problem solved. Otherwise on return to storage use the drive over dump.
