Thinking of getting a Disklok for our van for when we are away from it, as a visible (hopefully) theft deterrent. Can't decide whether to go for yellow (more visible) or silver. Obviously both have the same properties.:confused: Any ideas? Her indoors thinks silver, I think yellow. Are they any good?

As it's a visible deterrent, I'd suggest yellow, as it's more visible than silver. :)

Anything that bright Silver or yellow will frighten the wildlife out here so you will have to head south some other way rather than out here past us snobby gits.

I opted for Silver, still a very visible deterrent, make sure you buy the steering wheel glove to protect it during fitting or removal, the Disklok is a large heavy lump you don't want scratches on your steering wheel rim. The storage case we found a good buy.

Mines yellow and has been a deterrent for 9 years ...I store mine in a Waitrose woven bag ... don't pinch your fingers in it

How heavy are they for pay load?
We have a crook lock and Eddievanbitz security!

If its one of circular locks, don't bother. Can be opened with a biro.

Take then all of 10 seconds to remove them ..

The same locks are used on the Fiamma Door Locks .. Not that secure ..

The op was re Disklok not crook lock assuming they are different locks.

I have a Disklok silver . When leaving mohome with blinds closed I always leave drivers side blind slightly open so anyone nosing will see Disklok in place and drivers seat reversed and folded.
Another delaying deterrent....

3 1/2 minutes with angle grinder , all this time vehicle alarm would be sounding . Don't know how many tea leaves carry an angle grinder ? All slows them down I suppose.

No device is completely thief proof -just got to not make it worth their time/risk!
