As anybody fitted a diesel night heater into their Motorhome. Been told they are very efficient and at least will not have to hunt around to find LPG Pumps for my refillable bottles.

Manic fitted ours and we hadn’t used it for over 6 months.
Fired it up last week, one cold morning, worked fine, had to turn it down.
Toasty, nice to know it’s there.

I have just ordered a couple of these new type silencers for diesel heaters.
I know a couple of guys that have bought and tried them and they are saying that they are 8dB to 10dB quieter than the standard silencers and produce a much more acceptable exhaust note.
It looks like the end caps are screwed on, so maybe some scope for repacking the wadding if needed.

I bought mine from fleabay as the ones on Aliexpress are barely cheaper.

They certainly look better made than the original type.

The new upgraded diesel heater silencers have arrived, so of course, being a nosey sod, I immediately got a screwdriver out and pulled it apart. :giggle:
Removable cast aluminium endplates, with a cast aluminium "Z" shaped baffle pipe, covered with a sheet of silencer wadding material.

If the weather holds off this weekend and a get a bit of spare time, then I will fit the new silencer and take some before and after noise readings.

That looks good, doubt you would need 2 with those bends.
