Diesel in France

Just tried fuel 123 app but I don't think it is being updated at the moment but during Feb and March Ifound it a great app. It uses your position to show local prices.

This isn't a 'garage'. It's a depot. Probably sells to HGV's.
We found a similar one close to there (it fact it might be the one!)
No problems with us using it.

Seems funny that it is dearer than here? Neighbour uses Luxembourg regularly to fill the truck as he did Monday.I'll ask him what price he paid tomorrow.
 
I saw something similar signposted off the A66, I think, today with 2 prices one for HGV's at 88c.
 
Last year we filled up in the Dover Tesco as the prices were cheaper than France, gone are the days of cheap French diesel by look of things. We tend to go to the Auchan in Dunkirk if headed that way, look for the first Centre Commercial as you go that way from either Ferry Terminal, Dunkirk or Calais. The road runs off at at a right angle so well round the exit roundabout and then clearly signed for Auchan. Both pay at pump or at the booth as per Tesco, etc here. Just had a look and Auchan, Grande Synth is 1.209euros, ie £1.09 so not far off what I paid at ASDA today in Minworth, nr B'ham

I must admit that has jogged my memory & there are now quite afew lorry only self service stations appearing at various service areas. I came across 2 side by side in France .One was Q8 & the other unmarked .side by side but trucks only.
They also built a new one at "stop 176" on the A 23 but whose it is I can't remember? But I looked:giggle: They are AS 24 & require an ' AS24 Eurotrafic ' card

Luxembourg has always been the cheapest, stayed on a campsite one year in Germany on the river bordering Luxembourg, wonder why there was no filling station in Germany? answer, cross the bridge there it is.
 
Started to creep up paid £1.22 on the A1 (Newark) this morning
 
Weve been paying around €1.22 in France, supermarkets. Usual silly prices on the motorways €1.45 or more if anyones desperate enough to buy it.

Not that I know of, I just use the website and it’s been good at helping me get the cheapest fuel wherever we are
 
Filled up today in Clermont-Ferrand at an automated site.. €1.16/L 😎👍. Thought we'd be paying 1.20 odd as almost all the garages on the petrol app were in that region. It pays to have a search about on "Carte" on your route and find the hidden gems.
 
Well it had climbed u to the lofty heights of 94,5 c/litre but last thursday dropped to 90,7c overnight & is now at 89,5c/litre.
