NEW DIESEL FUEL IN FRANCE

A new fuel will be shortly appearing at filling stations in France. A fuel that allows vehicles running on diesel to reduce their CO2 emissions by up to 90% & emissions of fine and ultra-fine particles, which are very dangerous for health, can be reduced by 65%. These advantages do not stop there, since, according to the manufacturer, it does not cause over-consumption or loss of power, while also reducing engine noise. The down side however is that Diesel HVO 100 (also called Gazole XTL) will be up to 20c dearer than standard gazole.

CUT PRICE FUEL

Leclerc supermarkets as ‘an act of solidarity with all consumers’ have announced that they will be selling fuel at cost price during August. The dates that petrol & diesel will be sold at cost are the weekends of August 2nd - 4th & 16th - 18th

It doesn't make individual vehicles produce fewer emissions. The HVO in the name stands for Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil and the emission reduction seems to be a net claim for how the oil is produced. It's a bit of sleight of hand I suspect. :)
