Diesel heater

Hi Joy, the free standing ones still need an exhaust and air inlet fitting ,plus the hot air outlet piping into your van.
They are not just a heater that you can just switch on. No disrespect but you need to be reasonably good at DIY. Even for the free standing ones. Personally I don't think they are for you. Xx
Thanks sunshine. That's what I needed to know. Appreciate it. Xx

No, I made an aluminium fuel tank that's fitted under our van as I run out diesel heater on home heating oil as it's cheaper than diesel.
Manic and I believe gus-lopez are feeding from their vehicle fuel tanks.
Thank you Two on Tour. Is it possible to send me photo of it if not too much trouble.

My tank and its mounting bracket are bolted to the side of the rear chassis extension.
I made a covering for it to give it some protection if any stones or road debris is thrown up at it.

I fill the tank via a boat type filler mounted in the rear panel/bumper of our van.

Thanks funsters for very useful information. I have a 2016 Mobilvetta Kia P63 with a Truma gas heater. It works very well but I was in Leicestershire some months ago and I ran out of gas because the rubber washer must have fallen out of the connection when I was connecting the bottle. The local hardware shop charged me £93 for gas and bottle so my plan is to have the diesel heater as a backup.

I installed the Eberspacher systems to my old VeeDub and my Coaches many years ago (still might have a spare, unused, 3-5k unit in the back of the garage somewhere,) and their kits came with everything needed including an inline fuel pump in the, spliced in, connection to the vehicles diesel feed.
