Diesel costs

£1.60 at Tesco Gillingham but have been informed it’s cheaper at Hempstead Valley Sainsbury’s

£1.51 diesel at J11 services on M20 this morning but that was with my company bunkering fuel card. Its definitely coming down in the UK but I don't think all of the retailers are passing it on.
Bit gutted later on today though having to pay £1.05 for lpg at Thetford

Was that LPG at the garage on the road towards Bury St Edmunds? That’s where I normally top up. I may go there Monday and do the same before heading up to the PeakDistrict. It was only £1 a litre last time I was there.

Please can someone explain to me why Diesel cost more than Petrol for Diesel take less to refine so it should be cheaper.
More. Profit?

in answere to hurstpierpoint diesel is more expensive than petrol because the country runs on diesel ,supply trucks, buses, trains and a huge amount of other commercial traffic as well as us,the refinery owners are cashing in and keeping inflation up.I thought we were all in this together but apparently not,Putin must be laughing up his sleeve at the chaos he is causing with the help of these profiteers.

Can anybody update me on the latest diesel prices in Kent please. We are coming back to blighty on Thursday on Eurotunnel after our Christmas break in Spain and wondering on which side of the channel we should fill up the tank.

Many thanks.
Anywhere between 160.99 and 179.99 around Maidstone. I hope your windbreak worked well!??

That's the one. 5 minutes off the A11 on the A134. Nunns Bridge service station? or something like that?

Thanks for all the answers you gave me. It appears that French prices for diesel have increased in the time I was in Spain and UK prices have decreased.

In the end we did not fill up because we wanted to get to the tunnel ASAP to avoid the predicted disruption because of the French strikes. Managed to get on to a train 2 hours earlier than booked. The terminal was very quiet and we got through in record time for us. And the train we were on only had about 10 vehicles in the high carriages. Different story for freight though with queues on the slip road from the North. My guess is that was because of P&O's decision to cancel their sailings.
