Delayed delivery of new Moho.

I recently lost my non refundable £1000 deposit to a cowboy company who I lost trust in during the process of purchasing a motorhome. There seemed no way to force them to give me the money back apart from going to the small claims court. There would be no guarantee of winning as it would be your word against theirs and it would cost you more money if you were to lose.. I would try to work with this company if you can to resolve the issues if you can. I am sorry you are in this position and hope it works out for you.
Did you pay by credit card? If so, you may be able to use protection under that for refund.

We ordered ours last October for April anticipated delivery. We have had no updates from our dealer so I contacted them end of February to see how things were going and he made the necessary enquiries and told us it is now delayed until August and even that is not confirmed, so all our travelling plans have been postponed for a second year. I wasn't surprised as knew there were delay issues, just didnt expect such a lengthy delay. We have been trying to find one to buy for over a year, was originally hoping for second hand, but gave up and realised at this current time new is probably best option for us, but now we also have a war in Europe, I am resigned that it may not happen this year either!
He did say at point of order that there was a price cap and if the was to be an increase and it was more than we were happy with or any spec changes then we could get our deposit back, which I would have assumed was standard practice across dealers at the moment with how things are. Seems harsh if not

We are in the same boat at the time we ordered last summer, there were very few order slots available, now delayed since January we arent happy waiting indefinitely, we have had enough of life being on hold.
We are thinking if it doesn't arrive this month we will just call it a day and move on to other things completely.

The roads are so busy in the U.K. I’ve forgotten how the cruise control works these past two years! Like others have said don’t risk losing your van, have it retrofitted if you really want it. Definitely still a sellers market.

Is it possible that you ordered the driver assistance pack which has adaptive cruise control?

I have been told that the Sevel base vehicles are being manufactured without the driver assistance pack and this means there would be no adaptive cruise control which is the type that uses radar to adjust your speed to follow the vehicle in front.

It is possible that the standard cruise control feature which keeps you going along at a constant speed and you have to adjust it when you catch up with the traffic is not affected by the manufacturing restrictions.

Quite possible. Cruise control seems quite standard on even quite basic vehicles nowadays.

I paid my deposit back in August and the price is fixed. I have an invoice and emails to confirm the price is fixed.
The only variation might be that an upgrade I paid for is not present in which case I will get a refund that element costs.
You should not have to pay any annual price increase as a result of delays.

we have now been informed the new date is end of may still without cruise control, if we want a van with cruise control we can have one January 2023 (estimated).
we have been offered the cost of a hab check at in house cost ??? £154.00 With no movement take or leave it attitude !
we have decided just wait and retrofit cruise control, so flights now booked going to Dubai/ Thailand 29/04 returning 30/06 every cloud 😀

End of May is still a result for an October order, if it happens of course. If you have paid for the cruise control they should deduct that elemental cost as the dealer will not have had to pay for it either. I think everyone with an order are making other plans as dealers realy haven't a clue what is going on. When it's at the dealer I might take them seriously and will take my list of each element of the upgrades I paid for and make sure they are fitted. If not they can refund me. I have an email from my dealer saying they will!!
