Day (and night) at Filey

TBH I had assumed Butlins type camp was still there. These days I'm not far from Butlins Minehead which still is. Aside from the fact that the "trauma" of the event is seared into my memory, I'm now thinking I'd like to take another trip up there. I've still got a few rellies up there, Withernsea, Bridlington, Scarborough etc. The whole area is full of childhood memories...

" Withernsea " aka The Hull dockers Majorca... ( Hull joke when we lived just outside Hull ) Loved all those places mentioned and can still remember Hornsea Pottery Cafe..67/68 'ish.and... Their " Goliath" sandwich. A filled French stick.

We are going to get the train from York to Filey ( staying at Rowntree Park ) on Tuesday for a mooch about , looking for somewhere that does good crab .

not sure where you’ll get that in Filey in December.
Flamborough has a couple of outlets for fresh crab, but I don’t know any in Filey.
If you’ve got time Malton is worth a mooch, as you’ll probably have to change trains there anyway.
