Sorry, but again here I still cannot find out about people travelling from the rest of UK for holidays in Scotland or the Scottish Islands
More info on this one:

Restrictions on cross-border travel between Scotland and other parts of the UK are expected to be lifted on April 26, Nicola Sturgeon has announced.

They really hate the English up there don't they. The Alba Party still talking about wars with the English from hundreds of year ago. How sad is that?

unlike the English who never celebrate wars from long ago?

Funnily enough that's the island they're planning to rename Inchupacreek! :whistle2:

Seriously though, it's the island where Scottish Natural Heritage poisoned the beech tree forest a few years ago.:swear2: Used to dinghy sail to it back in the 70's.
Why did they do that?

Ahaa, that looks more encouraging, thank you, I am feelng more hopeful now.
(The talk of level 3 still baffles me though)

Why did they do that?
SNH brought in outside contractors to clear non-native invasive species, eg rhododendron, however they then extended that to the beech trees with the same rationale!:swear2: Killed by making saw cuts in the trunks and pouring glyphosate into the cuts.:swear2:

I did notice that they had cleared a lot of trees on the west side of the island but assumed it was done by the people that live there, the trees were all stacked at the dock beside a barge.

The Colquhoun family (Luss Estates), the islands owners, kicked up a big stink about it and SNH apologised over using the poison and had to \ are still(?) clearing the dead trees. They were meant to have been culling the non-native beech over a period of a number of years and reintroducing native oaks as they went but they took a "short-cut"! :swear2:
