Hi, we have bought a MiFi device for the motorhome and now need a good data only SIM card for use in Europe. We would like one for about 100GB and preferably no time limit on it or even better able to be topped up when we need it..
Our phones are on O2 but want to use the MiFi as better for streaming TV etc.
Thanks guys 😃

To the best of my knowledge, your on a hiding to nothing with that request. All UK service providers, again to the best of my knowledge, have roaming limits on data usage and the vast majority are hidden in the detail of their TOC. Some will allow you to continue to use data once you have reached your limit, at a cost that can be quite frightening.
Also, those that do offer high data usage, say 40 GB and above, may well be throttled back by the network provider your connected to once across the boarder.
Many members will n0 doubt make their recommendations but we are a long way off getting the package you are seeking, especially if you want streaming speeds and reasonable costs. You may well be better waiting till you get over the water and buy locally. Best of Luck though.

We're just back from Spain & France, and have been using an IQ Go data sim pretty successfully. You pay £20 a year to keep number active, then buy data as and when you need it. 100GB is £20, but it does only last 30 days. You can top it up online if you need to - that flexibility is what sold it for us. No data limits.
There was occasional buffering on Firestick, but nothing too much - our MiFi is only 4G, but they do support 5G I believe.

Here in France I also have a Relgio Mobie sim at 10€ a month for 100Gb data. Available from Leclerc supermarkets.
Thanks, does that work ok in a mifi and does it cover other nearby eu coutries, Germany, Spain etc please?

RWG Mobile has a sim at £20 per month 200Gb data, which was 100% roaming, but the use abroad has been throttled to 100Gb. I'm pretty sure that was the best deal when this was discussed here recently.
I used this sim last year whilst in France and Spain. It was throttled back and although I could get a connection and send/receive emails, read online news papers etc., I could not get enough download speed to stream movies/sports onto my firestick. I was getting a download speed of around 5 MBs. I solved the problem by purchasing a Lobster sim card ( they will not send to UK) which was giving me download speeds of around 70MBs and one can park the plan when leaving Europe and re start when enetering again.

I think it must depend on where you are and which network you are connected to. We have been getting upwards of 50Mbps with RWG, which I think is EE.

We use one of these and find they work really well.

We have been in France since end of August using a RWG sim in our HUAWEI E5577 mi fi, fine for e mails browsing and firestick used it for 90 days earlier in the year no problems. It’s been out for a couple of days but appears to be back on line now. We are at our rural cottage and its working fine as well as in the motorhome no external antenna required.

Thanks everyone for the advice…can’t believe a simple thing is so difficult to get!

The https://tiekom.com/internet-at-home/data-sim/ sim recommended above looks good, but can you buy in UK, as we don’t have a foreign address to get it sent to us. If it’s sent to your home in UK it does seem a good solution.

You contact Camino and she will send one to you and you can activate it when you require it also you can put it to sleep for months not required for a small fee.😊

I’m also pleased with RWG mobile sim in my router, even at 100gm roaming for £20 I think it good, only had one place in France with slow internet but still able to stream tv

In Spain and been using the IQ Mobile data only plan. 100GB for 30 days using EE. Working well and targeted at motorhomers. Easy payment scheme too, just pay when you need it. According to others RWG can be difficult to cancel, though they have announced plans for a 12 month card coming out soon.

We've been in France for 6 weeks and had a nightmare with RWG. Their customer service is non existent, take days to reply. I did get ours working for the last couples of weeks and when it works its great, but been down for last 3 days, thankfully going home tomorrow and have cancelled it!

Fine in a mifi. Haven't tried it outside France though.
We bought a Reglo sim in France this year and found it very good in our mifi. Was told in the shop that it only worked in France but found it still worked when back in the U.K. up until the 30 days was reached.

Another vote for IQGo. I'm using it right now in France, as our home wifi (SFR) is down with the storm. IQGo is currently on EE and running like a dream in our TPLink mifi. Also used it in the UK, Germany and Spain without issue.

Same here, it has worked well to watch TV. Just renewed with another 100gb online, easy process.
