We are going to the Newbury motorhome show next weekend not been to any of this type of events before so not sure what to expect.
Wondered is it possible to cycle into Newbury from the site.

Totally possible - I would recommend a scenic ride that goes via Chievely, then a lovely lane to Bangor, which will bring you into flat ride to Newbury. Less than 5 miles .

Looking at Google Maps. Turn right at the site exit, continue till you meet the B4009 in the village of Hermitage, go right and it takes you in to Newbury.

Depending on the type of riding/bike/route preferred, before you get to the B4009, you could turn right by the Army base (the road will change to more of a track for a short distance), proceed onwards through village of Curridge (there’s a nice pub called The Bunk slightly off route in village), past Rhodeside CL on the right, across the bridge over the A34 dual carriageway, turn left onto the old Oxford road and past Donnington Valley golf course into Newbury town centre.
