Cruise control doesn’t always work 🤔 (3 Viewers)

Hi, I’ve got a Fiat Ducato 09 reg and the cruise control is on the left hand stalk, flick and hold up to go faster, down to slow down ( the usual stuff) but now it’s mostly hold the stalk up until it picks up, which could be a couple of minutes is there an easy fix I can do to sort or is it a “ take out the dashboard” sort of problem? Thanks for any advice

Check you brake light switch is not fouled by anything as this will disable it, unlikely but a no cost check.

Is there any lag in the performance when it’s turned off. Doesn’t immediately sound like a cruise control issue, but a performance one

Do you have anything plugged into the OBD port?
With mine things plugged in causes CC issues.

Mine is similar tap down then up and it decides to accelerate upto 10k more(in france at the mo) restore only works sometimes, have disconnected and reconnected the the brake switch with a bit of improvement for a day!

Cruise Control Stalk

Anyone changed the stalk? Is it possible without removing the steering wheel/airbag? Mine is kaput I think, Error P0579 I've posted on the Fiat forum but so far it's fallen on deaf ears.

Nope it runs just the same on or off
