Creating a 'Glamp' site

I would also get a decent size digger.

Anything over 2 ton will be cheaper than a mini digger by a fair margin.

Or maybe a JCB would be spot on.

Will save you a fortune.

Also if you’re going to run it as a business you can claim the costs back 😊
Get an old 3cx you probably wouldn't need a dumper.

Thankyou for posting the photos. For someone like me who is completely lacking in imagination it’s great to see. I will enjoy following its transformation. When it’s just words I find it hard to picture so very grateful for a few little tasters to whet my appetite.

Good luck to you both.

  • The term "Garden of Eden" is used figuratively to describe any place or state of complete peace and happiness. Nice but don't let any Adam or Eve in it! 😜

Bea jokes it's an excuse for me to run around in a fig leaf given my sometime naturist inclinations. We are surprised that no other glamp business here in the beautiful Eden Valley has thought of the name. Maybe they all think it's too cheesy.

Not me. Cheesy works for me, plus it is a place of complete peace and happiness.

It may be worth checking out your proposed name:

Unless that is the type of venue you are creating? :ROFLMAO::cool:

Scattergun... :)

Photos get demanded, photos are uploaded and there's immediate criticism, you are a funny lot....
...

Apologies...poor choice of word....in my case, I get set on an idea and sometimes cant see the wood for the trees....works out most times...occasionally it's good to have a trusted mate to run an eye over it........is maybe a better turn of phrase.
As I said....what a brilliant project

dawsey 👋 from Kent

Good luck to you both in your new venture, it looks a great place already, lots of work but exciting nonetheless. I am envious as can see lots of potential but loads of reward just being there now 👍. Looking forward to the pics of your progress.

I don't think Bea would be up for a place like that... It might have the same name but given the locations I don't think there will be any confusion. Now I've started wondering if we will attract the right clientele with that name...

I’m amazed at the amount of work you have undertaken already and in awe of your commitment to such a project. I’ll be following this thread with great interest and hope to visit your site when you are up and running. Love the Lake District👍
Huh? we've only been here a week, we haven't scratched the surface yet...

Yes I'm on the lookout. I've already bought a garden tractor with little PTO for around the pond and a job lot of quick-assemble scaffold.

More boys toys , your brave I have done 1 small condemned property that was 40 years ago too 9 months and I'm still having therapy. The pics are great thankyou and the area looks stunning. When you want the swimming pool tested I'm volunteering (if it's warm).

Looks great. I know nothing about these things, what do I have to look for? I agree this would be an invaluable tool.
Nothing special they either run or dont, obviously you need someone who knows about them to have a look. Not me I hasten to add. We have a previous model to it here , had it about 40 years and it just keeps going.

This is in my neck of the woods, they have a monthly sale and this one is in a couple of days. There will be something similar a bit closer to home for you but have a look through the lots on that site and it will give you an idea of what kind of stuff you will find.

As chaser posted
Good old basic machine, 1988 so no electronics to go wrong just a Simms or cav injector pump.
