Covid Travel Passports and the Booster Jab

The only place you can see the booster is on the NHS APP. You can then take a screen shot and print that. This is not an official proof, however migt be accepted abroad. Looks like the government tries to keep us at home by making travelling difficult.
I don't think it's a planned effect just a bit behind on whats going on.

If you download the French TousAntiCovid app onto your phone you can store the qr code for your second jab on it, there’s no expiry date so you don’t need to keep updating them.
Not correct, the health pass stored in the TousAntiCovid app is only valid for the same length of time as the NHS covid pass which is only for 30 days. I got a message saying that mine was no longer valid so I had to generate a new pass on the NHS app and then scan it again into the TousAntiCovid app.

"The French Government has announced that from 15 December, those who are 65 and over and who have been fully vaccinated for more than six months and five weeks will need to demonstrate that they have received an approved COVID-19 booster injection in order to access the “pass sanitaire” in France."

The problem now (from 15 December) is that if the booster is not recorded on the NHS app then the TousAntiCovid app will not give a valid health pass, if this is the case then establishments in France will not allow you to enter.

I was given a card when I had my booster last
Do you not get a card like the first 2 to say you had it and what batch etc?
Not necessarily, we haven’t had any cards in our last two deliveries. Most of those were given as Boosters but a few were given as First doses for youngsters.

Well we are getting our booster on Saturday along with flu jab so will see for myself.

It is frustrating that there’s no consistency, at one clinic we had cards for the first couple of hours and then changed batch numbers and no cards so there was an overlap when people were sitting for the 15 minute wait when some did and some didn’t. In a small town lots we’re friends and neighbours, you’d think some of them had taken a pension cut! That was when our senior nurse threw her hands up and shouted “Boris is saving the planet!” As I mentioned in another thread.

We have received our booster jabs and I was keen to view the NHS website to see if the data had been appended. Also apply for updated hard copies. I now know after much digging and phone calls that the booster data will not, at present show on big NHS website. 119 told me that internationally the 1st and 2nd jabs met with the criteria required for travel.
However my local health centre appended the booster details the next day, so our local record of vaccinations IS up to date. I took a screen shot of the data so I can prove we have received the vaccinations. The chemist retrospectively offered a card to prove we had been jabbed however its not worth the paper its printed on. The big NHS site is the official record.
We are comfortably with the explanation, in my view, the booster should show on the record but our carrier, the ferry company, is prepared to allow us onboard as our paperwork meets with the regulations.

Just come back from a long trip, only about 60% of places in France bothered to ask us for proof (we have Tous Anti Covid app), the rest weren't bothered. Switzerland wanted a signed QR code, the NHS QR doesn't have this embedded in it - some wanted photo ID alongside anti covid app (we used French one there).

Germany didn't ask for any proof, sometimes just filled in a slip of paper - name, address, etc. Belgium didn't ask for anything, but only there for a couple of days.

So if you can't get a coffee in France, go over the border!

My NHS app only has the first 2 covid jabs on the “covid pass” however under immunisations, it lists the later flu and covid booster as well.
My nhs app doesn’t have a sub group ‘imunisations’ 😟

Except for those of us lucky enough to live in Wales which doesn’t have an equivalent App

Well that’s a very odd thing.
I‘ve had them on the TAC app and they‘ve been scanned and accepted all over Greece, Italy and France since the beginning of September. No messages about them not being valid have been received thus far.
Residents of Wales don’t have the luxury of an NhS app so it’s either log into the Welsh nhs website each time they’re needed and pray there’s enough 4g, take a screen shot and replace it every few weeks or use the TAC app. The latter has worked best for me throughout our trip.
It seems that from 15th December this will change unless the boffins can get their heads together to sort it out.

Yes, MichaelT, you do get a card "certificate" for your Booster, just like Jabs 1 and 2.
But that is only useful within the UK. They (having woken up) are now modifying the system so the the covid information on the NHS app will show the booster along with the first two in the correct format for international travel, which can also be used inside the UK.

We had our Covid jab x 2 early this year and those two jabs show up in the NHS Covid App as recorded and the Travel Passport is generated successfully. However, we had a Covid booster jab a fortnight ago and that doesn't show on the NHS Covid App record.

The blurb says to get in touch with your GP surgery if your jabs aren't getting recorded and that the record should be posted in the database within 5 days of getting the jab. I got in touch with my GP Surgery and they confirm that the booster jab is recorded and to get in touch with NHS Covid line 119 if the Covid Travel Passport record is incomplete.

119 Covid Helpine just confirmed that Boosters are not being recorded on the Covid Passport database so will not show up there. Has anyone else been through this and got a different answer?
Yes I have had exactly the same response when calling 119 I was told because it’s not a government requirement to travel it will not show on your records, however if the government changes restrictions to include booster jabs it will be added to your records ( or so they say)😊

The NHS app is in the process of being updated, apparently, I discovered that if you go to Medicines on the app and open Acute (short term ) medicines you'll find details of your booster.

Annie, I’m afraid loads of surgeries don’t have it as a separate section. Mine doesn’t, not does the other surgery in Sherborne. It depends how the individual practices have set it up. My old surgery is looking at it because the senior partner’s daughter has it on hers and he didn’t realise it could be set up that way. It depends who set up the system when the surgeries “joined” we think but aren’t sure!

The first NHS pass that I uploaded into the TAC expired on 04 November, when I opened the TAC after that date and opened the health pass in "my wallet" it actually said that the pass had expired, no problem as I just downloaded a new NHS pass and scanned that in.

Does the Welsh NHS pass state the following

The NHS Covid-19 one is only to do with Test and Trace really Carol so isn’t linked to your medical records which is a relief really considering what a cock-up that’s been!!

I've just looked on the NHS App under "Your Health" then "Check your Covid - 19 vaccine record". The Booster is there at last. I had the 3rd jab on 21 October.

The QR code is downloaded as your Covid Pass and valid for a month. It doesn't show the Booster which, as P4GGC said, is showing in your health records (if you have access to them).
Thanks. So we are still waiting for the booster QR code which is what most places want to zap.

My NHS app shows all my jabs ,covid x2 plus flu so would expect the booster to be shown on the list also. Mine is due 5 Nov ,so will see.
It will not show your booster jab and won’t till the NHS app has been updated…. So don’t hold your breath.
