Hi everyone,
we are Dave & Tess, a couple in our mid fifties who are starting our motorhoming journey.

At the time of writing we have rented in the south of France and love it. We are looking to buy our first MH.

Cheers!

Welcome both, do you know what you want to buy yet ? .trying to find one and at the right price is the next thing

Hi! Well, we were looking at an a class fleurette (I posed on the general questions about that), so that kind of style of MH. We're not particularly limiting ourselves to a make or model, but we are intending to spend 3-4 weeks away at a time, so little bit of luxury would be nice :)

Check out the guide to buying a used motorhome ...

And enjoy yourselves...

... and we're definitely not from Sweden like our profile suggests we are.

You've got to love the internet ...

You will absolutely love the lifestyle, it’s just fabulous

Welcome and hope we bump into each other someday

Al n Val 👍

Welcome.

We owned two VW campers over 11 years
We rented four different motorhomes before we found what we wanted (and did not want) to buy.

So I'd be inclined to rent a couple more to firm up your ideas.
It all about the layout (and the budget, and the base vehicle, and the habitation manufacturer, and the age .....)
:giggle:

Hi and welcome, rent one and go to one of our rallies/meets, have a wander around the site, talk to people ask if they mind you having a peek inside, make note's of the models, all details etc.
One of our favourite meets is the meet at "Highlands End 2023"
we are all very friendly (y)

enjoy

hI there guys,

Enjoy your new adventure, like you i am a newbie and cant wait to get out in Dollie, asap, in service at present, as only bought her 3 weeks ago. looking to adventure into Europe as soon as i feel comfortable to do so with her, and also safe maybe in numbers with others that are trailing around Europe as solo newbies, (which i realiseyou are not haha). enjoy

You'll have a great time, I know it. It really is such fun.

We also are about to do our first MH trip in 3 weeks time down to Murcia area in spain. Ex caravanners overc10 years, having done 2 long trips towing down to spain last year, we wanted easier travelling so stopped to a 6m 2 berth autocruise and now getting to grips with electrics (no solar.....yet), and tbh, the limited space to put stuff... dumped much of what we had before but can't wait to get away.. tons of great info and very helpful people on this Forum so read it all...!!!
