I bought the CoPilot App in about 2016 and used it regularly. I haven’t needed to use it for a couple of years.

It no longer works, I can’t login although it recognises my email address as a customer. Customer support seems non existent. Has this app been discontinued or does anyone have contact details for CoPilot?

Thanks

Richard

Long term Copilot user, tried others, routing all the similar but I like the Copilot interface and layout. Use it along with common sense and Google maps to check route all works well.

Just updated and the updates are significant will get used to most of them but there a couple of features that just don't work.

I cannot turn off the 2d auto zoom at junctions and also when driving along changes to a close up view thoroughly confusing and the last thing you need when approaching roundabouts or multi lanes junctions. Tried 3d which is slightly better but still zooms in and out at junctions very irritating.

The Active Traffic display is unreadable tiny yellow and red lines useless.

Sadly if I cannot turn off the auto Zoom I shall no longer be using it. Will switch to Sygic 🤔
Do you know if the split screen option is still there for tablet users? If not then I might just have to turn off autoupdates, for me it's the best screen layout as you get a nice big diagram of the next junction alongside the map 👍

Copilot stopped working on my phone so reinstalled the latest version. Still accepted my ancient licence but a few changes which I will have to get used to.

I can see and change the setting but it has no effect, just zooms to the turn. On a roundabout it is zooming in and out a few times, really annoying.

Have raised a support ticket but will no doubt tell me to reinstall etc..

I won't get a chance to use mine until next Monday but will report back if mine works differently to yours.

There are requests going back a number of years on the CoPilot forum requesting CarPlay compatibility; judging by the lack of response Trimble aren't interested. I've tried Sysgic and thought it was very poor. I'm now using Magic Earth - so far so good and it supports CarPlay.

The latest version supports Android Auto, not sure about Apple Car play.

Is

Is that the basic version or the caravan/motorhome version?
I have the caravan version but I think the notes on the upgrade didn't differentiate between the two.

Edit: here is a link to the V11 page of Trimble's website.

Had a response from Trimble the owners of Copilot GPS, stating that they have passed the bug report to the developers and now have to await a response or fixed version, as sort of expected, they did not suggest reinstalling which was surprising as I would have thought it may be a corruption of settings data on the upgrade. Oh they have now marked the ticket as resolved, very irritating!!

The main fault is the constant autozoom at junctions and ignoring manually set zoom level, have tested on the old version and it works fine.

They did say that others reporting the same issue will push the bug up the fix list with the developers :ROFLMAO:, so if you find issues then report them. The link is below, you do have to create an account:

then

This the ticket I submitted
App version 11.0.0.1546 We gave just upgraded to V11 Copilot Motorhome android

1. We have set to turn off Clearturn at 0.5 mile but it stays displayed till the actual turn.

2. Use 2d display, turned autozoom off, the map is still zooming in and out at junctions.

3. We change the map zoom level to show the road ahead, the app just zooms in way too much after a few hundred yards.

Please advise, what we need to do, the insistence on zooming in at turns and ignoring the zoom level chosen is making the app unusable for us.

The previous version has been used very happily for many years, and does not just ignore the settings and zoom in all the time.

I've done a couple of journeys with V11 now and I have to say I've found it pretty disappointing, recent updates to it appear to have fixed the zooming issue, at least it's not zooming at junctions on mine but I do have live view turned on which may effect it, however the map display is terrible, just following a blue line against a grey background without many surrounding roads or features is really poor in my opinion, I'm going to use Eurowag Navi (formerly Road Lords) for a while to see how I get on with it.

Lucky you, I would disable updates till they sort it out.

Have updated to the latest version and it is better with the auto zoom, but they (CoPilot Tech Support) have acknowledged there are issues with the zoom level features. Apparently a new version in early Dec will fix

I haven't used it on unknown roads yet but I can see that they have a few issues to sort, hopefully it will have settled down by next April when we are off to Spain.

I quite like the sparse look of the maps, less confusing to look at, hoping that they fix the house number on/off button as it doesn't work for me at the moment.

My only real gripe so far is that if you search for a fuel station mid route then it adds the stop to the end and not a the next stop.

I have reported this. Their customer service is usually pretty good to be fair, I even had a call back from their support last year when they needed more info on a route error.

If anyone has Sygic already they have a Black Friday deal for the camper upgrade, lifetime licence £33.49 until the 1st December I think.

My garmin satnav is on its last legs and I’m looking for an app to replace it that can work with Apple CarPlay and provides routes based on configurable vehicle dimensions.

Looks like a good number are using copilot, would you recommend it? Any better app options out there?
It is an excellent app but sadly does not work witk Apple Carplay.
