Conwy Council (North Wales) consultation on overnight parking of motorhomes.

Done, just wish the neanderthals at Wirral council had done the same before spending all the money on repetitive signs telling motorhomes they couldn't park overnight and then certain area's they could park if phoned up first to register and pay £20. No facilities, they are a joke.
was there at the weekend.
Its completely obvious they just want rid of Motorhomers...and the double yellows they have put between the linking roads.

No one is saying a free for all and dumping waste all over the place. it all come down to what standard you wish to apply.
We do have porta potty though it's not fixed and is carried when needed along with the toilet tent. Would this be an accepted standard ?
The other thing using the NZ example is define water tanks? Are Portable none fixed going to be accepted as a possible standard for example ?
The biggest issues looks to be placers to dump Black and grey water waste. Maybe solutions that are workable, affordable for LA officers need to be found 1st. To head off councillors who look to use this as the "go to" stop the very idea of stop overs.

Done, as a local resident

My view is that the biggest problem is not from responsible motorhomers, but from “van life” campers without their own toilet etc. It is disgusting as a resident to come across human sh*t on my local walks.

I am concerned that any overnight aire provision should be limited to motorhomes / vans with facilities and that this should actually be checked / enforced (otherwise it is just ignored!)

Unfortunately, whatever facilities are provided a small number will treat them badly.

We live in a seaside town, so we know all about it as well I’m afraid……but we still need visitors here so the town doesn’t die. One problem here is people coming and sleeping overnight in their cars. Definitely no facilities in those. 🤷‍♂️

Even a basic van can have a porta potty fitted so would comply to have own sanitation,
I carry two holding tanks in case they are needed, I have come across dumped toilet waste in my travel, very unpleasant to say the least,
being self contained in a Motorhome/ camper/ van is to my mind the number one priority, and as much as I hate new regulations on camping it should be enforced to make the small minority that dump face the consequences of their actions,
in New Zealand practically every town has a dumping point, well documented locations that anyone can use,
it would be helpful if local councils adopted something similar ,
exactly. thanks to pressure from the NZMCA who lobby for this to assist their members. I couldn't believe it when they partnered with the CARAVAN club over here, they couldn't be further apart!

Done. The what 3 words bit confused me but I think I got there in the end.

We were on Conwy last month. Nice little town. We would have stayed the night if over nighting was allowed in the car park.

Done, good questions
