Hello, we have a Bailey Autograph 68 2. The van has 2 speakers at the back which are connected to the radio, so when your parked up the radio can be turned on and you can relax in the back of the van.

I was wondering if there was a way to connect the TV to the rear speakers, creating a surround sound?. I'm not technical at all, so any feedback would be much appreciated!

You won't get "surround sound" from most car stereo units as they produce 2 x L & R, one pair for the front and one for the rear. When watching TV / films you need the main sound to come from the "front", if you have it behind you your brain gets confused. EG, film has a train passing left to right so sound should start on the left, move to the middle and then fade out on right speaker. Put those speakers behind you and your eyes and ears are getting different messages which is not good. "Proper" surround sound, Dolby Digital, DTS etc is mixed into 5.1 channels, the .1 is a dedicated sub. To answer your question directly ... if your TV has a audio output ideally at line level so red and white "audio out" and your Stereo in the van has a spare Aux input then connect the two and you are likely to get sound out of all four speakers unless you fade it only to the rear. Obviously location of TV and radio may prevent or make a long cable run hard. A popular choice is a small stand alone speaker to get better sound from the TV, we use a Bose Soundlink Mini but others from JBL etc will do the same job and be a huge improvement from most TV sound.
