Confusion over 2 types of Spanish Diesel

If you do a search there was a post about the various fuels and additives.
Someone who worked or does work for a petrol company executive pained it all.
IIRC he worked in the lab or similar (y):)
Not that bothered I've always just used the normal everyday stuff without any issues

I know a Spaniard who bought a new 300D merc in 1998. It's never seen a fuel pump.:DI used to chat with him when buying red in containers for our digger and he was filling his:LOL:

Red is white with a coulerant I was told.

I was also told you can get rid of the colour by passing it through tea, not sure if it had to be loose or bags :)

Oh dear . I am glad mine is on petrol. Or am I.

The farmer who we used to rent a cottage off ran his Range Rover for years on red diesel from the farm tank. He said that it was just as unreliable as when using ordinary diesel. But at least he could afford the repairs now.

Which diesel would you use in a 2017 Fiat Ducato 150bhp based vehicle,
B7 or B10.

John.

In parts of France usually on the motorways you can buy two types of diesel. Its a bit like the petrol 95 octane and 98 octane. I once tried the more expensive stuff as I read somewhere you get better mpg. Load of rubbish, it made no difference what so ever other than leaving a bigger dent on my credit card.

We just left a garage without filling up in France because the diesel offered at €1.76 was B10, with a large label saying 10% bio-diesel. Fiat ducatos are not on the ACEA list as compatible with B10. There was only that and Excellium at €1.86.
Does anyone know more about this?

Sorry to cause such mirth, but I've failed to find anything on B10 bio-diesel anywhere else, there is a shortage in N France due to strikes and we won't even get there unless we get some diesel. I have to admit I didn't notice the dates on the posts, this was the only thread that mentioned B10.

Hi, I'm not a motorhome owner but just a word to be careful if you aren't fluent in Spanish. I was driving a Citroen Dispatch and stopped at a little garage on a main road in north east Spain (Carinena) to fill up. I had forgotten about A and B diesel. I asked the attendant behind the till (in crap Spanish) if I should use A or B, and he said use the pump on the right (derecha) which was B. I used it and some time later my amber warning light came on and limp mode limped in. After another hour or two the warning light went off and I reached my destination. I have since put in some premium and it has been fine, although I now have to drive home. Fingers crossed.
Here's the point of my post, either he misunderstood my question or I misunderstood which side of the pumps he meant. I used the right hand one as I looked at them from my car, he maybe meant the right hand one from his position in the booth. That misunderstanding could happen in any language, of course.

No edit facility, so just to add, I'll be using Gaseolo A (B7) from now on, it's kinder on the wallet.
