So, came across the floe system at about £200 and wondered if it's snake oil but there seems a lot of good reviews and a search on here reveals people are actually using it with good effect.
Then I found the kit that I could add to the inboard tank https://www.obicampingandleisure.co.uk/floe-motorhome-draindown-kit-for-inboard-water-tanks/ which you basically tee into the system and use a compressor?

As some of the posts are a year plus old, can I ask those using either system if they are still happy with it, do they think it was worth it?

There are a variety of floe draindown kits. The one you need is this one:

Mine was about £45 a few years back. I use a footpump to pressurie it.

It's also good for clearing out debris in the pipework (ie. black particles). Whilst on tour, the toilet solenoid valve started leaking and filling up the toilet bowl. A quick blast with the Floe removed the debris trapped in the valve.
I have had one for years. Excellent at the end of season to clear all pipes, even sometimes in season if a few weeks away. I use the electric pump I use for pumping the tyres, set at 15psi, then each tap individually and the boiler. Perfect!

Those floe systems are expensive but what cost piece of mind/ replacement shower tap cost.
My version #15 cost me about £3 because i had most of the bits to hand.
But why bother? Just like why carry a spare wheel, personal experiance. In 15 years of running an essentialy stand alone hot water system in a Pennine folding camper i had 2 dead mixer taps due to frost. On handover day of my new MH the Shower was leaking so a planned return on the cards already. Wait 3 months a few trips out and we will mop up all the snags in one visit. A dealers may not be the best place to overwinter but with the agro they had getting the correct tap from Rapido, id prefer not to have to go down that route.

I notice nobody has mentioned food-grade antifreeze, which is a popular winterisation method in for example the US. I've never used it myself but have noticed it is available over here too. It just might suit some people to use it.

Watched a you tube the other day where a bloke used the flow system and got another 4 litres out of his system plus a load of black bits.

He also said he had drained down in the normal way for years and had no issues.
