Just read Jim's article on this on the Home page. All good stuff. I would add:
  1. if you're travelling about and moving the next day then put tomorrow's beer in the fridge the night before when it's cooler
  2. also if the daytime temperature gets above the low 20s then buy a big bag of ice from a supermarket and put half of it in the bottom of the fridge close to your beer (in a polythene bag or container so when it melts it doesn't go everywhere) and put the other half in the freezer compartment and use it in the same way as the first half the following day
  3. if you've done 1 and 2 and your beer is still not cold enough, then an hour or so before your first beer of the day, stick a couple in the freezer compartment and replace as you use each one (this only really works with small cans or stubbies, unless you've got a cavernous freezer compartment).

Well yes indeed ..Who’d a thought it that fridges that work properly had already been invented?. Just swapped to a full size compressor, T2160 , just done, first night away with it. My G and T was at 2 degrees C, iced juice for my son. Barely using any power, solar keeping up with it. Why does the industry persist with absorbers...

Ah, but it’s not all about the fridge, it’s about where you park👍

….if you park in the middle of nowhere, I have no sympathy. You clearly can’t afford beer.

Park near a bar or a pub, the walk there counts as “steps” therefore you get exercise, the landlord gets custom, you get cold beer……win win 😎🍻🤭

Q.E.D.

Sensible, I like proper beer, don't understand why anyone would drink Eurofizz when they could be drinking real ale.
I must admit I like both, but, Dartmoor Jail, Legend and Dragon are hard to find abroad, and an ice cold Stella on a hot sunny day is a thing of beauty

A little birdie tells me, like me you also appreciate a good Gin

Every RV I’ve ever owned (I’ve been lucky enough to be on my sixteenth since I was 28) was ordered with a factory fitted, pull out, compressor beer fridge

Downsizing to a tiny little 8m “runabout” Winnebago on retirement I now have a compressor cool box for beer in a locker accessible from inside or out

These things are important

I have a 3 way fridge. The afternoon before we leave on a trip, I switch it on and as I don't have an EHU cable long enough, it runs on gas. Next morning it is cold as I would expect, even if I have left 3 or 4 cans of beer in there, they are cold. I then fill the fridge with all we are taking, some of the items already cold from our home fridge, others not. By the time we arrive where we are going, everything is cold. So if you don't have cold beer, maybe your fridge is not working properly?
