CMC - Content Deleted

The CMC is not interested in reducing its carbon footprint. I once wrote to suggest they erect washing lines near the laundry facilities. I thought it was a cheap and environmentally-friendly alternative to using electric tumble driers, but they used the old "Health & Safety hazard" as an excuse and even suggested that people could walk into the lines and injure themselves.
I don't know why they couldn't be honest with me and admit they want us to use their very expensive and inefficient tumble driers.
Interesting KiwiKampers
Please dont tell us The CMC have infiltrated New Zealand as well? Park up against the peg, the correct way round and all that crap?:X3::X3:

I bought a disposable cigarette lighter in America and the sticker on it warned "Do not light in pocket"

Is that a burning cigarette lighter in your pocket or are you just pleased to see me?

No, thankfully the CMC has not ventured to NZ, but worryingly the NZ Motor Caravan Association sent a delegation to the UK last year to glean ideas from the CMC.

I posted on their discussion forum, a question about whether others thought paying extra for a car on your pitch was fair. Jill with a J told me it wasn't really something to discuss and I should have taken it up with the site.

We did take it up with the site, a CL. Our argument was that a motorhome with two people and a car was no different to a caravan with two people and a car. The owner said it was different for a motorhome. We wouldn't go there again.

What a pointless discussion forum, if you can't discuss an issue like this.

Interestingly we have only been asked once about the car and trailer and that was on a large cl. My lady Rottweiler told the site owner in no uncertain terms that we would leave rather than pay for the car / trailer. I got out of the van just in time to point out the Range Rover & twin-axle van pitched opposite our mh. We didn't pay extra. And we stayed.

We use CMC sites almost exclusively, the exceptions being MHF meets. We tried the CCC for a year and thought the standard of sites inferior. We have looked at commercial sites but invariably they are more expensive. We have noticed a considerable increase in the numbers of m/hs since we first started 20 years ago when on many occasions we were the only one on site and as this trend continues it may well mean that the tuggers have less influence on the provisions of the CMC.

It is the ageing demographic. Nature will no doubt take its course........

Merged, locked, put into the belly locker, but very rarely deleted.
Yes but if you can't access the belly locker it is as good as deleted. Kind of means that there is little point drafting a detailed response to a thread when you can see given the direction of travel it is only a matter of time before it disappears into a black hole.

Well I for one cannot access it.

You are not alone. A good number of people who cannot debate without being rude to one another are not allowed in there either. After numerous transgressions, you lost the right to post in there last May.
