Close Campsite too Angouleme

Can anyone recommend a decent site as close as possible to Angouleme .

There a nice free aire with free EHU in Nersac that has a good bus link in. Camper contact I think.

Camping du plan d'eau at St Yrieix

Just outside of Angouleme, not quite a walk but a cycle OK, not open all year though, has an air as well.

PS. According to a review dated 15/11/17 the LA have disconnected the Electricity at this Aire due to persons using the electricity for cooking and heating.

we stopped at Ruffec on the way down a few kliks north of anguleme but decent site and open
