Cleaning solar panels (1 Viewer)

I had a thin flat solar panel fitted to the van last year. I havent cleaned it yet. Can anyone offer advice, do's and dont's off cleaning. Products, if any to use. Many thanks

I just wash mine using a hose and sponge and then wipe it down with a microfibre cloth.
Don't put polish or wax on them.

I have a telescopic lorry windscreen squeegee.
Something like this one.

I simply stick my head and arm out of the roof light and wipe down the glass surface.
I find you need to do it every couple of weeks.
You will notice an immediate jump in the amount of power going into your battery after it is wiped.

My experience is that it matters not how clean or dusty they are, they produce broadly the same amount of power. I still clean them every few years though!
