Cleaning a Motorhome on Site

Well unbelievably I have been looking at those, are they any good. Mostly good reviews but, some ‘don’t bother, waste of time’ one’s as well. How long does the battery last ?
Have 2 batteries and they last easily long enough to do a van.
They are not very powerful but I find that better as last time I cleaned my Trials bike with my mains washer it took the stickers straight off🤬🤬🤬

Its better than most mains hoses and handy that it sucks out of a drum or bucket.
I also carry an extendable noodle burst and collapsible bucket that I give the van a quick going over with.

Endorsement from me too - I have the brushless motor one which is (allegedly) a bit more powerful, and with a 4Ah battery lasts long enough to wash the ‘van. I also use the Worx to clean the patio paving too!(y)

Visit us when you're dirty. We supply a brush and hose so people can properly wash their van on their pitch. :D
Do you have a 2m platform ?
So that you can clean the roof

I’ve used the Meguirs product very successfully on my cars. It is a good useful product for cleaning if you have no access to water.

I was lucky enough to show my Morgan at the NEC classic car show in 2019 which takes place in November. I drove down in the rain and foul weather from West Yorkshire and set about cleaning the car which was by then pretty fithly.

I fully expected to have to spend hours when I got home getting rid of the swirl marks, but by careful use of microfibre cloths - one pass per “face” of the folded cloth, in one direction only- all was well.

I needed plenty of cloths though, I used 16 in total to do a relatively small car. I folded each cloth in 4, which gave me 8 clean faces per cloth.

However the results were well worth it, the lights of the NEC are very unforgiving when it comes to showing up paint defects.

Since then it has been my go-to waterless wash, and it smells nice too 🤣

The real telling area is the front passenger side wing, where there are 2 sets of 2 light reflections. Any swirling would get picked up by the harsh lights and if you zoom in on those areas you’ll notice it’s not swirled at all even after using the waterless Maguirs stuff…

I no longer have the car however, it got flatbed recovered 4 times in 2,400 miles and enough was enough!
That's a high price to pay for a Great British Sports car. It does look beautiful though.

You don’t know the half of it!

As we had planned to travel using the Morgan, we sold a perfectly good motorhome - Hymer Duomobile- as I couldn’t stomach it sitting unused on the drive.

fast forward 2 years and in the absence of the car we decided to go back to Motorhome touring. So we bought out current PVC (which we love) but due to changes in market forces cost us almost as much as we got for the Hymer 🤦🏼

my other hobby is burning £20 notes…..

I thought jet washing motorhomes was a big no no???
Never mind jet washing, I think washing them at all is a big no no, last time I did ours it took 7 hours and I forgot the windscreen.

Autoglym Motorhome Cleaner. Good value, clears off black run marks with ease and other dirt plus leaves a nice shine.
