Since motorhomes under 3500Kg are designated "Private Light Goods", effectively the same as a car, how do they differentiate?

I have just read Bradford has now CAZ Wtf it’s probably cheaper just to have a false plate and pay the fine😳 how are they going to police this when they can’t even control other more serious crime happening in that area?

Ah I have just realised it will only be upstanding law abiding citizens that would be tracked down to pay this TAX🤬🤬🤬🤬

Nobody seems to have mentioned, or be concerned about the amount of the charge. Did somebody say £120 and then up to £160 if not paid promptly.
Am I the only person to feel that, that is far too high?

Those of us at the Easter Rally are waiting to hear news from Mr Ed who clipped the edge of the Bath CAZ on the way after a bad Good Friday journey,
They were going to ring up to establish the fine.

We live a few miles south of Bristol. Our 2005 Frankia, 4.6T, 2.7l Merc, will cost £100 to drive 2km across the Cumberland Basin and onto the Portway towards the M5. Unlike Bath, there are no exemptions for larger motorhomes. Needless to say, we’ve found alternative routes to both M4 and M5. Both pass through more residential areas than our previous route, entering the Bristol CAZ for 2km.

I know of a French couple in an Sprinter Camper that went in and out of London's congestion charge and lez over a few days without realising that you had to pay. They eventually received a bill of over £10,000.

They would ban high emissions vehicles, but legally they can't. So instead they set very high charges, so it effectively does the same job.

Are we now expected to carry maps for all the emissions Zones, together with the rules applying to them?

I doubt whether our Polish Satnav is kept up-to-date on all of them.

On the other hand do all the zones have the ability to contact foreign owners/drivers to enforce fines?

Flip over number plate (James bond DB style) are easier then ever to build. Especially if you have a 3d printer.

Allegedly.
