Hi Martin, have you tried logging in? That's where the problem starts. It doesn't work. Even if , (maybe ) we get the card in the post we should be able to log in I'd have thought. Think it's a stock reply re. the 28 days valid bit.

Hi Wendy

Yes I have tried logging in and you are right it doesn't work, tried checking points also and nothing happens.

I don't think I will waste too much time on it though.

I will get you parked up well away from everyone else in that case for when you have purchased said unwashed bishop

No probs
Sorry for the delay but I see my learned friend RowleyBirkinQC has answered for me (y)
No probs Paul, nice to see you back although I was beginning to think you got hoofed off again;)(y):LOL:

i had that too, if you've booked you'll get a couple of emails from camperfest, a receipt and a confirmation of booking. The following day I followed the link from the email to the dining club & registered but as others have said it only seems to be valid for 28 days which is a bit silly. Hopefully it'll get sorted one way or another.

Looks like my parents have booked too - @Organplayer

They have controversially elected to take the EHU option in order to further erode any inheritance for my sister and I. ;)

If you want 25% off your tickets for Chester then make sure you buy them before Friday! and use the code EARLY19.

If you can't commit before Friday, don't worry too much, I'll have an exclusive code for Funsters that we can use in Dec/Jan which will get you a £12 discount off each booking.

All booked and got my discount!!

Booked, arriving Thursday - Boat arriving Monday :D

We also need some help in getting some stuff from @Jim ( Jasmin Camping, Sutton on Sea) to Chester and then from Chester to Peterborough.

If you think that you would be able to help with transporting a gas heater and a few strings of electric lights on either leg of the journey please PM me.

Also, it has been suggested that we have Karaoke in the Marquee one evening. I don’t say this to put you off, but if anyone has Karaoke equipment they would be prepared to bring, please PM me.

Suggestions for things to do in or around Chester or in the Marquee would also be welcome. Maybe you know a good venue for a group meal or know of a thimble museum worth visiting. Probably best to post them on this thread, as they might spark ideas off others.
Bump

We can not help with stuff from Jim but could offer some garage space going to Peterborough but possibly not marshalling our little N+B group so it would be Thursday before the stuff arrived.

If you need me we can discuss at Chester.

Got this email yesterday from Club Individual:
Good afternoon,

As you have not yet collected your card from one of our restaurants using your reference number you won’t be able to login to your account.

Once you have collected your card theusername and password will then reset to your card number.

I give up!

I'm sure one of the Marshall's will call Chester and get this sorted out for you Wendy @Wendo55 x

Thanks Carol but to be honest I'm not really bothered about it. It's just the principle! If they advertise the offer they shouldn't make it so hard to redeem it.
Probably a good offer for a couple or a family but I've never even had a bill over £30 on my own!;)

@Wendo55 I agree Wendy there are so much variety of good restaurants in Chester I would not want to be tied to one, but it needs clarification .

ROLL UP. ROLL UP.

LAST DAY FOR BOOKING TO GET 25% DISCOUNT.

ROLL UP. ROLL UP!!!

They [Camperfest] have obviously noted the confusion because they've updated the offer in my latest email...

"At midnight tonight the November deal finishes so today is your last chance to get 25% of everything you book and your £30 dining voucher from Individual Group Restaurants".

Copied from another thread. Some useful info

Good cheese stalls in Chester market, and a lot cheaper.

We cannot make it this year, but I would go just for the Goat Curry in the Food Fest and a beer in The Boot. Plus the marquee of course

A few practical hints for those attending, some precautionary.

1. Take wellies
2. Be prepared if on electric to lose it at times
3. The nearest toilets are near the generator, they apparently need electric.
4. Plan your follow on requirements carefully, you may not be able to do the just in time ferry arrival you have booked by planning to leave at 7am if you need a tow off.
5. The tow off tractors are very good, you will have to wait, and they only start about 9am.
6. Most attempts to drive off on your own, not all but most, usually result in an axle deep bog down, and a plowed mud effect that everyone else then has to avoid to get off.
7. Check you have your towing eye with you before you leave home, and that you know how to install it.
8. As well as Chester, there are good bus and rail services to places you my find more difficult taking a motorhome.
9. The electric train service to Liverpool is good, and it may be the time to visit this great city. Not sure what it has as attractionsthis at Easter next, but now is the time to check and book some if you need to (e.g. the terracotta warriors last year had to be booked).
10. If you like real ale, Chester is one of the best venues in the country (as is Liverpool city centre).

I am sure I have forgotten lots.

I have now had a response from CamperFest andcan confirm that generators are not allowed on site.

If an individual has a medical reason for needing one please contact me by PM and I will endeavour to make arrangements

Even better is Chesters Cheese shop in Northgate Street, don't pass it by.

The Boot is ok but the best pub is Harkers Bar on the canal bank just off City Road.

As mentioned on another thread, I'm quite an expert on the Pubs of Chester.

Would anyone be interested in a guided pub crawl on, perhaps, the Friday night?
Yes please!
