Hi Carol, we have never been on a rally before so this would be our first time.
Is there still room on this for two of us and a dog and if so would we be able to use our own generator if we don't get electric hook-up. It's a quiet Honda generator not a noisy industrial one? Many thanks

There are plenty of places, including EHU spots left at the moment and dogs are more than welcome, i believe that private generators are not allowed.

Chester is a great venue for a first rally
👍

Cheers

Chester Food and Drink Festival & Camper Fest. Will take place over the Easter break Thursday 14th April to Easter Monday 18th April , with the extra negotiated stay until 11am Tuesday by arrangement.
This year RedFrame will be Marshalling and organising the meet for Motorhome Fun and I'm sure we will have a great meet with Red.
I will help with the thread etc.
Any questions just ask.
Red and I are local to Chester so any questions we hopefully can help you with.

The code for Motorhome Fun is MHF22 for a Camper van RV's and larger vans may be a bit more.

LINK https://camperfest.co.uk/book-a-pitch/

The cost for two people is £65 for capervan Motorhomes may be a little more, without electric if taking the option of staying over until 11am Tuesday works out £13 a night which includes unlimited access to the Food and Drink Festival. Not bad value for a city centre venue.

#Please be aware the cost of Electricity is quite expensive £75 because the commercial Generators have to be hired in.

If we have sufficient number we will have the use for Motorhome Fun of the Marquee if this happens there will be a small rally charge payable on booking in to cover hiring heaters and lighting etc of course any money's leftover would be given to Charity.
We would have a Jacobs Table A quiz. and possibly some music depending on our funster musician friends. and hopefully Bacon Rolls to be decided..

As usual please remember your number on the list and quote it saves me going through lot's of names.

When you have booked in could you please pm RedFrame your Registration Number.
I have asked Red to put all his information post's in Red Writing so they will be easier to see.
I will update this page from time to time so could you please keep a eye out for further information.

That's really kind Carol, thank you we will get booked and let you know when we've done it x

Book before the 28th December as they have a special offer on.
Code is Nutcracker

Did the code work ??
See you there.

We've always booked early to get the reduced admission, but we're waiting for a date for Val's knee replacement op, and the specialist said it would be most likely some time in April, but with the pandemic situation, these things could be subject to delay ? I can't remember if there's normally an opportunity to pay full price nearer the time or do they have a cut off date/capacity ?

Hi Carol - again! I could see how to book the Monday night on the main site. Do we arrange this through RedFrame?

David

davidroxburgh , got your PM thanks, Carol will add you to the list of attendees shortly 😉

jockaneezer last year they were taking full price bookings quite late, the problem was that Fun area and racecourse were full, and they were putting people at Chester Lakes, which is a long way away, also Briony wasn't allowing us to swap out cancelled bookings. Carol will correct me if I'm wrong.

Cheers
Red.

Hi it's a special arrangement I made with Chester some years ago you just let me know you are staying over Monday night, thought you need to be aware that the toilet / waste water / electric / elsan etc are all finished Sunday afternoon so you need to be organised and need to vacate the Racecourse at 11am Tuesday at the latest.
It just saves travelling on a Bank Holiday Monday.
I will add you to the list.
Any questions just ask.🙂

As RedFrame says it's down to when Chester reach their capacity they close the bookings but we usually have a bit of warning before this happens,. I hope Val gets her knee done she has waited a while, hopefully we will see you at Chester.

Hi carol we’ve booked in for the 4 nights used Nutcracker and got £18 off apparently would you add us to your list please 😊

Hi Carol,
All booked and paid for. No electric. Don’t know how to advise of MH reg. please forgive me, first rally through this site. 🙈

Hi TommyD248 welcome I will add you to the list, No 66 if you could remember this number it is useful,,. Keep a eye on the thread as Easter gets nearer so you get all the information.
If you look above this post you will see RedFrame if you click on his avatar it will say in the corner start conversation click on that and you can send him your reg etc.
Happy 2022 to you and everyone looking in on this thread.
