Cheapest Data SIM For UK Only Use, Please?

I am happy with Smarty. No long contract and you can increase or reduce the data tariff easily using their website. So very flexible month on month.
not tried it in the EU so would be interested in others experiences?

This is what I use. No contract or anything.

Those are "business" sims they are selling, there's a big discussion on hotdeals as to how legal they are and how long they'll actually last!

I almost bought the Vodafone one but thought better of it

Smarty do a decent deal, 60GB for £10, 200GB for £15 and Unlimited for £20. Delivery in 2 working days, pause or cancel anytime.
I’ve just activated my Smarty card last week which was in my new Motorhome WiFi device, £20 a month unlimited

I’ve just this minute had a “chat” with a customer service person via the smarty app who has reduced it to £16 a month to match the uswitch offer

I might be cheeky in a day or 2’s time and ask them to match the Martin Lewis offer of £12.75

Result 👍

I did say I'd be happy with a business only deal, as we have a business. What are you saying is wrong with a business SIM?

They are for businesses that buy multiple sims for their employees.

The eBay seller is buying them as business sims, then selling them on to individuals, the worry is that the end user hasn't got any control over the details, and that if Vodafone realise that individuals are using them, they could cancel the contracts, leaving you out of pocket with no come back on the seller after the eBay returns window has closed

I understand what you're saying but I already have a business SIM from Vodafone and didn't have to buy multiples to get the one I have. So, in theory, if Vodafone are happy to sell single business SIMs they probably wouldn't know that the ones sold on eBay are any different, would they?

So, you can buy a single business sim from Vodafone for £90 that gives 160gb a month for £90?

I've just checked over on HDUK and I can't find the discussion

That's not what I said at all, although mine costs £63 per month and I get 150gb.

No idea what HDUK is!

Where all the best deals are found and discussed/dissected 😂

The basic premise of the 'business' deal was, £90 for a 36 month sim pre loaded with £720 credit, which will give you 160gb data, and unlimited calls and texts, which, over the 36 months works out to be £2.50 per month.

Now, how many of those sim cards has the seller had to buy to get such a deal, 10?, a 100?, or even a 1000?, we don't know, but what was discussed that they are managed by the business account manager would bought them initially and the user has no control/contact with the account, and in a business why would you need to? They would just contact their it or comms manager, but, if you've bought them from this seller as a private sale, and you need to contact someone about an issue, how do you? Or if you do manage to contact Vodafone, does it flag up that you don't work for the business that made the purchase?

And what happens if it does get cancelled after a year? Or 6 months or whatever? The £2.50 a month sim isn't quite the bargain it was, with no come back on the ebay seller as you're now out of the returns period

As an existing Vodafone business user, you'll obviously know how this sim works better than me, but along with other issue's discussed, such as number porting, it wasn't a risk that I was prepared to make.

And, you know the saying, 'if it's too good to be true - it probably is' 🤣

But, this is moving away from what you initially posted, which was for a 30 day UK sim 😂

Info on the business sims here for anyone interested:

I've searched and searched for a good deal, so much so that my brain hurts!! :banghead: Here's what I need;

  1. Data only to use in a 3g/4g MiFi device
  2. 50gb minimum
  3. No contract, no commitment. I only need this for less than a month in the UK (no roaming needed)
  4. Preferably high street store pickup or next day delivery (I need one from 8th March!!)
  5. A business only SIM would be fine, as well as a standard one
Just when I think I've found a suitable deal, the small print adds a c.£25 set up fee or wants me to set up a Direct Debit so any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS I know this is last minute but I'm having to travel sooner than I thought I would be and was hoping to have the Tiekom SIM that Carpmart shared with us all. This is why I'm in a bit of a pickle!!
Have you got a French contract? We are with Orange France and have 200gb month and also 100gb month when roaming anywhere in Europe, including the UK. Comes with 2 sim cards one in the phone and the other in mifi.
Maybe worth looking at.

Yes, it's moving well away from what I was looking for :ROFLMAO:

Yes, I have a French contract with SFR and another monthly SIM with Reglo but I wanted a UK SIM for use in the UK. Thanks anyway.
