Burstner 690G
Hello, I'm new to motorhoming (since February) and this site (since last year).
I'm off to France Wednesday, driving a new Ducato based Burstner 690.
The speedo is digital, it shows the speed in miles per hour only.
Does anyone know how I change this to show the speed in kilometers per hour?
I cannot find the option in the settings on the digital dashboard.
I have tried google but again no joy.
Thanks for any help.

Provided your van isn’t equipped with Fiat’s wonderful ‘Cross Wind Assist’, in which case you’ll have start the overtake manoeuvre all over again after the brakes release!
If you drive like an Italian (flat out with your eyes shut 😏) you'll be fine, then fiats driver assistance options work just fine 🙂

[disclaimer - no offense to any Italians inferred or intended]

I couldn’t see the ‘ignore traffic lights’ or ‘horn permanently on’ options - are they for the home market only?

Probably 🤣 the same as the 'drive a foot behind the car in front no matter what you speed is' option . . only available from a fiat dealer in Italy, you also get a free mini statue of the Virgin Mary 😳

I've got one of these;

It can be converted from Miles to Kms and is mounted on top of the dash in my eyeline.
Works on GPS. Wouldn't want to be without it abroad.

If you change the speedo to kph does it also change the odometer to Km and then back to miles at the correct distance you’ve travelled when you return to U.K.

I was reluctant to change mine over as I didn’t know the answer to this question and the manual is next to useless for such detail. I suspect it will but you need to be sure.
I have a 2022 Benimar on the Fiat Ducato base and as the earlier reply says, yes you can change the speedo to show km/h, however it meant it did not also change the odometer to km. This stayed showing miles.

Hi there. We tend to have miles on the speedo and Km on the sat nav. That was we keep an eye on the lot.

I have a 2022 Ducato with a fully digital dash and you can change the speed dial to KPH
Hi Pukka, great hear that you can change your Ducati to KPH, I’ve got a 2022 Swift 774 with 10” u connect and I’m damned if I can change mine! Tried all foregoing suggestions and none work on this 10” display. Must have spent an hour playing with the thing to no avail. Nothing online from Fiat of course and no U connect 10 manual supplied with the vehicle. Pressing left down steering wheel button does not take me to settings. I can get into settings via the 10” screen or pressing left or right steering wheel button to get into settings from there but no options to change digits in settings. Anybody that has achieved this I’ll buy them a pint!

I opted to buy a digital speedo in kph because the fiat one is not accurate, it just sit on rhs of the dash

Rozzer Sat at home trying to recall how I did this on my Uconnect 7 on my 22 Ducato so I may not get it right. I do it now so know it is definitely possible.

On the Uconnect I choose the vehicle set up and scroll down the page and it allows me to select mph or kph. I just check the kph box. It then shows kph on my digital centre section of my otherwise analog dash. My odometer is separate setting in the same menu so I leave that on miles.

It is not part of the setup done on the steering wheel controls. I’m pretty certain my memory is right in this regard, next time I drive him I’ll check & if wrong will update this thread.

I suspect if yours is the full digital dash then the process should likely be the same.

Just read page 1 again of this thread & can see the instructions are there and I confirmed before that I’d done it via the Uconnect screen 😜

Hi Roy, thanks for the reply. Fiat not helping over course nor the dealer. Prefer this set up to earlier Ducato dash but that was so easy and intuitive to navigate. Could even have your radio on for more than 1/2 hour! They don’t seem to care much for the Moho market although it must be pretty big for them. All the best.
