Habitation door always iffy, takes quite a bit to wangle to get it open or locked, so that lock needs replacing. Gas locker door going the same way. If I replace these would I have a lot of different keys for all the various locks. The Fiat doors etc are fine but just wondering if I replace habitation, garage, toilet and gas locker doors could I just have one key for all? Is it a job I could do myself?

Most (but not all) locks are available as either a set or keyed alike,so first thing is to check if you can get a set of keyed alike replacement locks. As for DIY should be a relatively straightforward job

A few years.
Zadi locks you can remove the barrel and place in the new lock. OK as long as it is not the lock barrel that is faulty.

I nearly ventured down that road with count of a Hab door and eight locker locks!

Then a kind, and older, locksmith suggested that instead of so many worn locks could not the issue be a worn key?

Sourced a BRAND NEW KEY, not a laser cut copy of the old key, all opening and locking issues disappeared.

I bought a set of 8 barrels and 2 keys from Kenmore caravans (are on eBay’s as well) and fitted them myself. They also stock some single barrels if you know the key numbers as I actually needed 9 and they sent me an additional one.

Key has a number on it.

Initially I went to Adria and they would only provide via an approved dealer, for sensible security I suppose.

Dealer received in three days, all that worked ontinued to work, that that hadn't worked was now A1.

Later I received a second key from an indirect source, that I've since forgotten.
