Welcome Pusser.

So, you are the Pusser who brought us the excellent 'Pussers Progress'.

I downloaded it recently from Amazon, really made me laugh.

Paul

Same here. I haven't laughed so much for years. :thumb:

Hi and welcome to fun

I found mhfun a fabulous site and never had the urge wander elsewhere so post whatever you want, even if its stories many have heard before - they will all be new to me xxxx

Thank you very much indeed for even more welcomes. Feels like a family already and I would like to be the black sheep if the position is available.

I pick up my Toyota Granvia Chatsworth conversion Friday so the "fun" could well start there. I just hope it is funny for me as well as normally its not.

Oddly, I never got particularly excited with previous deliveries of old and new motorhomes and threw money at them thinking that would sort out the cons I always felt but for a very odd reason, I simply cannot wait to pick up the 1996 (I know...by all means tell me about it) motorhome, previously owned by Mr. and Mrs. Ying Tong Tiddle Hi Ho or something like that.

Many years ago I met a Japanese girl when I was staying in theTaj in Bombay (now Mumbai or something) and she told me her name was Suzi (...I thought please God, let it be Wong) but I was wong and it turned out to be Suzie Suzuki. (Thank you God. A rich father in law coming up).

That evening at dinner she told me she was an air hostess for a Japanese airline and I jovially joked and asked her was it Kamakazi airlines which went right over her head but not the American sitting at the next table who almost fell off his chair laughing at my courting techniques. It transpired, shortly before she voimited from possibly her airlines own food eaten previously that day that her name was the equivalent of Smith in UK and her father was a tailor and had a small shop in Yokohama where he made tails or something.

The night ended with her heaving her way up the stairs back to her room and the hotel manager ordering a doctor and for some reason she did not invite me upstairs to her room an neither did she ask to see me the following day. In fact the following day she was not even in the hotel so she had either died or gone back to work.

As you may have deduced by now the connection between a Toyota Granvia and a Japanese airline stewardess is not a lot. :Eeek:

And another welcome from us to, can't wait for the further adventures:thumb:

I would like to be the black sheep

Mr Pusser moderate your language, this is a family forum. You may say coloured sheep or ethnic minority sheep. As this is your first warning we will leave it at this but be warned the moderator team is monitoring your posts.

There, you must really feel at home now.

You are so right to clamp down as racism has a nasty way of creeping into things like countries. I can campaigning as we speak to change B.....k Wednesday to "a sort of dark grey Wednesday".

So I would like to be a shep (the singular of sheeps  ) that is neither white or brown or grey, red, blue or yellow unless there is a contender for this position which I am wondering may be you.

Is it Shep ? shepi ? sheep ? or lamb, another point is when does a lamb become a sheep ? I am certain the butcher (not mine) sells sheep as lambs :Eeek::Wink:
terry
Make of that what you will Pusser :notworthy: Enough ammo to keep you going for a bit :thumb:

unless there is a contender for this position which I am wondering may be you.

Me ? Oh no, I have no sheepish ambitions. I can state categorically that I am not standing for Sheep.

However if my public demanded that I become Sheep and they need me as Sheep I may have to reluctantly bow to their demands.

Welcome to the nuthouse

I likes me sheep cooked in a moderated oven:Wink:
Nurse curtains please pass the potie

Blimey Pusser,
I was going to welcome you as a newbie when I first saw the thread but wondered why you gained six pages of welcomes.

Its clear now, you are Obi-Wan Kinobi's father and are adored through the universe, but have made it through from the dark side.

I shall have to get hold of the book for SWMBO's Kindle.

Clearly far from a newbie to the MH, but hello from one aspiring to be a Nutter, any help you can give will be appreciated.:notworthy:

 Terry: I am sure it is shep hence shepherd otherwise we would have the word sheepherd. Of course that brings us on to the plural of shepherd's or perhaps it should be sheepherds or shepherders or even sheepherders or the one I like is Flockers. A clump of sheep is a flock so they are looked after by a Flocker coming from the German word, Flocker which was normally a precursor of Flocker Wolf 189 airplane. So a flight of flockers would be known as a packa o' Flockers. I am sure I have heard that in WWII german planes were called Flockers or something like that.

I expect it comes as no surprise to anyone that I actually hold a GCE O level in English comprehension and literature and was the leader of the under elevens mixed country dancing group.

HillDweller or in Navy slang PusserDweller I am deeply impressed at the sacrifices you would make for this website and its members. When someone answers the call of duty, one can only stand back in awe. I gotta go .... I'm filling up.

Pusser
Be warned you will end up in jail:Eeek:
Mind you this is not the darkside so you will be allowed to have the light on:thumb:

Hello Mr Pusser*,

I don't know you yet either but - somehow - I already think I'll like you ........ and I have heard of your book so (though only if it's free of course ) perhaps I'll have to download it. (However perhaps I will then be disappointed there is only Part One. It sounds much in the vein of The Syndicate by Mark Cunningham of which we are now reading Part Seven and are still laughing like drains ..... )

Personally I like this site much more than that from whence you recently came as it has much more betterer Smileys and believe me - that is the only reason.

Still - I have made the acquaintance of a small elite group of them and nobody bit me - even though I was taking money off em some of the time, very few of them needed much more than an armlock and death threats to part with it - so they might be OK ???

* see? Respect .... :Rofl1:

Hi and welcome,Pusser. You sound a lot of fun!

Hello Pusser (old pal),

Having seen the title of the thread, and it's author, I didn't bother reading all seven pages, but came straight to the last post.

How are you? It's nice to see you over here on FUN, and we hope that you'll feel as much at home here, as you did on FACTS, before it got so big.

Many may not know this, but as well as his ability to make others laugh and smile with his tales of Motorhoming, our Pusser is a dab hand at IT, and I am a recipient of his vast knowledge.............and very grateful for it too.

Cheers Pusser, and welcome to FUN. :thumb:

Best regards,

Jock & Rita.

Hey Pusser!

When are you coming to a meet??

How about this weekend? Bring and Buy Meet - it's always a brilliant one!:thumb::thumb:

Anyone got a copy of Pusser's book posted up on the BTJunkie Torrent website yet?(in Kindle format of course, I hate the bother of reformatting these things) :Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1:

I've got it on Kindle but don't know about the rest of the techie jargon!!:Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1:

Instructions please oh Knowledgable One!!

Oh dear..... and things were going so well over here .......... I saw the original post and the seven pages of replies and took a bet that bit would find its natural level by about page three. I was right.

Brian (Hildweller) was wrong, by the way - you don't have a reputation to live UP to - you have a reputation to live DOWN to and long may it continue. As I said once on the other side - oft imitated, never bettered. Delighted to see you raise your head above the parapet again, just begging to be shot at in a humorous way and looking forward to reading your exploits on here as much as I enjoyed your e-book. Please can you send me your address so that I can send you a bill for a new iPad after I sprayed scotch over the last one laughing at your toilet exploits...........

And before anyone says anything about it being 0415 hrs and being drunk - I'm actually in Houston

Welcome on board - if we had bosun's whistles you would no doubt have been piped on board in true nautical fashion, but we didn't - mainly because no-one could be bothered

Good to see that you're still alive and kicking

Thank you all so much for some really lovely comments. I am quite overwhelmed. Even pusseydweller (I'm sure I did not spell it like that) is llovely.

About the book. It never was a book in its original form but Mavis from MHF does a huge amount for asbestosis charities and is one of the many lovely people on MHF. She approached me and asked if I would mind Gerald, (her Publisher), another lovely person, could stick in some stuff I wrrote about my holidays in a book so it could be sold to raise money for an asbestosis charity. (I think I may have cocked up the spelling of it).

So if you do download the book of Kindle, or get the book delivered from Lulu.com, (I know... I did wonder :Rofl1: ) all proceeds go to helping those who are seriously dying from this awful disease.

I am hoping to do a proper book about the same scale in aid of MotorNeuron as my brother in law and his daughter 31 both died of this and the latter a month or so ago.

I envy those who can enter races for charities and jump out of planes and hot air ballons and race to mountain tops. I am so fat I have trouble getting to Tesco's for more food and so far have been unable to find a suitable sponser although to be fair, Tescos gives me points.

Once again thank you so much for comments I don't really deserve but equally I am so glad I got them.

I do love it on here already and as has been mentioned MHF has become so successful like an NHS really and I really only feel at home with a family quack.

May I add the thing I did not like about MHF was the Thankyou button. If I thanked one person in a reply I felt obligated to thank every single person who replied which sort of defeats the object. So if you will forgive me, I will probably not use the LIKE button but personally, or collectively thank people as and when suitable. I do hope this is not offending anyone or seems selfish.

I have already looked at the Bring and Buy but I have to go to Chesterfield on Friday to pick up the old banger and then the following a week a trip to see my latest grandchild near Liverpool and on to see my elderly cousin in Yorkshire and then hopefully to France to see how good the RAC recovery is in our newly acquired transport.

SOrry to ramble on. I do that. I am sometimes in a world of my own so please excuse.

Thanks once again and I really do look forward to logging in here although I am limited to sitting in front of screen time due to Menieres and I am very sensitive to light and ladies with large bosoms.

YOu can read it on MHF in the different posts as it was a sort of collection of ramblings. I can port a copy on here if anyone wants. Not the book version of course, but most of the origninal indiividual posts. I presume even though I don't mind who does what with them, I have a moral copywrite so we only need to ask the leader of the pack if that is OK or not OK. Thank your comments and previous ones and I have decided that clicking the liike button is not so bad so hence forth, I will click on the like button when I .....ah.... like it.

p.s. So a big thank you all and in future I will click on like buttons in\on new or posts made today and beyond.
