Did you put silicon on the back of it or just seal around the top after fitting?

Just put a small 3/4mm bead around the top about 25mm down then inserted it (didn't want any excess squeezing out of the top) then a nice small bead around the top, yeah some shocking jobs on YouTube

Presumably the bottom seal though is still between the bottom of the plastic bog and seal on the casette. Doesn't that leave "stuff" to creep up in the gap between the plastic and ceramic at the bottom unless thats siliconed as well?

I think I would run a small bead around the bottom edge.

I just use a wax polish in our PLASTIC loo.
Everything just slides down, .any sticky bits get jet washed with a pressure spray .
Just think of all those beers you could have bought.

Same as Jim, ours gets a good buff-up with Collinite 476s every now and again, and in the words of Paul Simon, it goes "Slip Slidin' Away"
