CCP's quick question please

Sorry to ask a simple question.
On a CCP Aire it tells you how full it is.
Does 20/24 mean there are 4 places left?

I think it means there are 20 paces free out of 24. But I could be wrong!!

I've seen some giving 20/20 but still appear green.i thought they turned red when full.
Not sure now

I used a couple last week. It means 20 free out of 24. The figures are to give you a guide to the size of the aire and to tell you how many places are available, not how many are taken. After all, you're not interested in how many aren't available.

Good question, the way I found out is to find a closed aire, 0/21 gave me the answer I wanted.

We went to one in particular a couple of weeks back and it stated all available and it was empty, we still drove around four times looking for the best and flattest pitch eventually on by one another five arrived and guess where they parked? Yes, surrounding us happens every time. I think the French do love us

Are they all expensive? The one in Sainte Suzanne et Chammes appears to be charging 14.20 Euro to stay in a "car park", we have been charged 17.20 Euro to stay inc EHU to stay at a much nicer (Glamping) site.
