Wonder if any of you lovely people could help my wife and me with recommendations or a place to park up for the night in or close to Cardiff on 9 August this year. We gambled and purchased tickets for the Billy Joel concert and have found there isn't a hotel, B&B, campsite etc. with vacancies within miles. :(
We have a fully self contained Autotrail Scout 8M long. I've seen a number of wild camping options but fear on this occasion, we would need to be there days before to get a space.

Best regards

This is on the train line in about 30 minutes into Cardiff. I could run up there and have a look for you

The carpark at Sophia Gardens, by the National Express terminal in Bute Park is a Pay and Display metered area, overnight Motorhome stops allowed.

It's first come, first served BUT not valid when there is an "Event' on. I'm not sure what is classified as an Event, certainly Six Nation matches, and I suspect when Taylor Swift hits town.

Otherwise at the top of Dunleavy Drive are half a dozen unregulatedated spaces, mostly used by night Fisher on the Taff's.

There are some places further out, but Cardiff, you would need to book a taxi in and out. Would that suit?

Hensol wood # 300596

Often used*, in a nice wood. You'd need to drive in, or at a push you could walk 30mins to A48 then get bus in.

*As in often used by other people! I live down the road and walk my dog there daily. We're away 9/8
