Caravan Salon Dusseldorf

Hi,

Do any of you know if you can

a). Take a Dog into the official Motorhome Parking area?

b). Take said smallish Dog into the show area?

c). Take them on public transport to explore the area?

THANKS in advance.
Dogs are welcome in the parking area.
You can take them into the show in a bag or container, same on public transport, we have seen people with big dogs wandering around the show that may depend on how active security are.

MANY THANKS for that Lenny, much appreciated.

Hi,

Can you only buy the camping tickets to cover the days that you want to visit the show?

i.e if Show Tickets are bought for 1st September... could a camping ticket for 26th to 4th be purchased?

I think you can choose what days you want to camp but you can't choose until after you have bought the show tickets.

What Lenny says is exactly what I did. Having 2 days at the show, arriving afternoon before and staying an extra night to visit Düsseldorf by public transport for a day - so 4 nights in total and 2 days at the show….. no problem.

Thanks for all your replies. Hopefully, this is my last question (sorry).

When we visit UK rallies we nearly always stay for the full duration or as near as damn it.

Would you say that there is enough going on there (on the camping part), to stay for the for the full duration, with maybe tickets spread out for 2 or 3 days for the show.

Thanks in advance.

Not really, there used to be good entertainment and food in the marquee both are rubbish nowdays. The best entertainment is the gatherings outside Funsters vans.
There is a free shuttle bus into town & you can use public transport, you can use both on the days of your show ticket.
Also the camping is expensive now used to be free overnight and you just paid for daytime parking now they charge for both although it is a lower rate overnight.

Don't forget to join Caravan Saloon Club it saves a few Euro on the camping fee.

Nope I didn’t, didnt know about it🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
The parking didn’t have an English setting I had to decipher that with a bit of help from Google!
I booked the tickets ok just the parking that was a pain! We roll into the camp on the 3rd, might see you
WESTY66 66 are you taking dog?

We have had no problem taking the dog into the show obviously not into MH,s often tied to a wheel whilst inside discussing deals etc. One of the benefits of the show halls is they connect via a massive outdoor area with outdoor exhibits but it means the Dog gets a breather from being inside if it needs to drop one🤔😮😁

Hi,

Can you pick your own parking spot within P1 or are you guided to the next available?

If picking your own, is there anywhere in particular that you would recommend?

TIA

Just bought tickets from Monday to Thursday! If anyone intending to go, please note that the motorhome and caravan parking has less than 20% availability for Fri 26, Sat 27 and Sun 28.
