Canterbury Park & Ride Changes

Read the posts and don’t want to be disrespectful of anyone. My view, mine alone, is that all free stopovers, and I say free, should be limited to 24 hours. Paid stopovers, not places set aside specifically for camping, should be limited to 48 hours. Get all the arguments about staying longer to visit places etc, but that’s what campsites are for. I know others will argue differently.

This thread soon deviated from the original posting - no bad thing but interesting enough for me to say we stayed for 4 nights at the nearby Camping & Caravan Club site nearby and used the bus. Yes, we have bus passes and explored the City and Whitstable which was great.

I'm sure there are others but don't see much in France and Spain and small town French teenagers must be far more bored than ours.
We were parked up at a French Aire next to a bus terminus just on the edge of the village. As I was strolling through there were three local teenagers sitting at a bus stop, just chilling and chatting. ALL THREE of them wished me a good evening as I passed.
I was gobsmacked.

Normal in France.
Young kids playing often say hello as you walk by.
