Cant tax the MH

Waste of time paying for and sending anything 'recorded signed for' too DVLA.
They receive hundreds of mail items each day, they can't sign for all the items, they would need a department just for that.
I suspect they sign per mailbag if anything.... Doesn't mean your item is in the bag though.

It does according to a court of law.
If you can prove something was posted it’s as good as you handing it in personally.

There’s been at least one test case but I can’t remember when it was 🙄😊

I use a Uk car forum & many on there have daily nightmare dealings with the dvla. I think I have heard every excude possible. One signed for ,recorded ,tracked, etc; that disappeared & was ending up involving solicitors etc; was ended when the used there " get out of hail" excuse.
" yes we did receive it & signed for but when the envelope was opned there was NOTHING INSIDE":rofl:
Another trader had so much trouble over the years he took to using a video courier . With chain of evidence from pick up to individual delivery to them.

Well, the thread title was. 😉

Cheers,

Jock. 🙂

Lol im confused the thread title reads

Cant tax the mh

Then it says i sent the log book back due to a variation in the weight

Where does it say anything about a move 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Hey, hang on. A...I'm not the one disputing the original thread subject, and B... I was in the same boat, and posting supportively, re having to send off the V5 due to a weighting issue and getting the same sh1t service as yourself. ☹️

I think it's an elderly chap with grey hair who is the doubter. 😉

Cheers,

Jock. 🙂

Nope if you read my first post it says i sent the logbook back due to a variation in the weight 👍

I wasn’t talking of your post, it was one about motorbikes.
Possibly four or five of them.
😊

I sent my V5C back to DVLA in the first week of January to get a mistake on the form corrected. I'm still waiting for it to be re-issued. Trying to get in contract with them during lockdown has been impossible. Their phone lines seem to be open again, but are continuously engaged. Unfortunately, I didn't take a photocopy of it at the time so I wasn't able to SORN the vehicle either.
