HI, now be kind....does anyone else have trouble getting up on their levels, we sometimes spin and slide off. I have tried going slowly and faster, Ive tried putting the ramps right next to the tyre and also a little furrher away, its obviously worse when wet and on grass but we must be doing something wrong. We have quattro ones now we used to have triple and didnt seem to have this problem, other than they broke so thought these would be stronger. We are 3.5t. Any help or advice appreciated.

Biggest problem we ever had was on tarmac. Although it was cold, no visible frost on the surface. Went up no problem. Sorting out in van and a few minutes later, BANG and the feeling of being at the bottom of a lift. One of them had shot out, just missing our daughters mother-in-law and breaking a hole into a wooden fence. A lucky escape for MIL's ankles. Always more careful if using on a solid surface since.
I put a couple of old teatowels under mine, whe n I use my ramps on the drive, stops them slipping, old bit of carpet would be good enough 👍

I used these and found them great!

Like the Fiamma ones but bigger and much better! I never failed to get onto the levels with these !

New nav has hydraulic leveling, now that is even better!

We had self levelling on our last Moho. The sense of smugness when pressing a button and watching the less fortunate plebs’ jaws drop as they watched was priceless, well worth the extortionate cost of those systems. Just ordered a new Moho. Will I fit SL? ( probably)

Gave up the quattro, now use the stacka system. Much easier and if you go too far just back up.
Not seen these before. Can you explain what you mean about going too far please, I assume these are the Milenco ones?

Been looking at those. With normal levels if you go you too far you run off the high end and maybe do damage. With his system it looks like you simply go down step by step so can reverse back. I am going to investigate further.

The old trick is to tie about 3ft of good quality cord or rope to the bottom of the ramp and lay it in line with the ramp so that your tyre runs over this first and holds the ramp in position until you have started to climb.
This works on manuals, never tried it on automatics but can see no reason why not?

Yes milenco, come as a 6 piece set plus 2 tyre savers. Use the tyre savers by themselves quite often and I'm just about to buy another set.

We haven’t had many neighbours on this trip but this did occur a few weeks ago at Preveli beach on Crete.

As we watched from the taverna a German couple in a Hi-Top Crafter spent a good 30 minutes trying to get level with not one but two sets of ramps in differing combinations on various wheels. They then gave up with that method and pulled out a couple of those inflatable bags, and once under the wheels, spent yet more time adjusting and fine tuning the pressures.

We couldn’t nurse our beers any longer, so supped up and strolled over to the van, hit the E&P control panel, and sat back with a G&T apiece. As you say, the look from next door was priceless! :ROFLMAO:

PS We’ve used the levellers throughout the trip and although I originally did a double take at the cost, wouldn’t be without them now.

Reverse gear on a 3 ltr Ducato is much higher than 1st, it is pretty much the same ratio as 2nd gear. This is why juddergate was far worse on the 3 ltr.
