Well hello everyone
Good news for now about April 12 campsites. Obviously that could still change.

I am holding off deposit taking and so on for now so that hopefully the picture on numbers is clarified. At present it says will go back to groups of 6 only, meeting outside, on that date. I am not sure how that affects us and our numbers.

When we had the campsite last August the rule was max 30 people in a gathering so that’s what we used. That doesn’t apply any more. I will be looking to Jim to update the rules on temporary campsites.

You are welcome to put your names down on the reserve list but there can be no promises on anything.

I will look to collect the full campsite fee soon but it will be refundable of course if we have to cancel.
Annie

Hi Annie,
Sorry but we will have to cancel as RV is going for a MOT but hope you all have a great time x

Hi can you put us down for this please? Is that the reserve list?

Thanks for letting me know. Good luck with MOT.

Yes, on reserve list - on the first post of this thread.
weekenders you are now on the main list.🙂

Just imagine that this was a budget airline booking office, they would be rubbing their hands in glee with these changes. On Fun we do things in a different way, the right way. Have a great day folks.

If this was a budget airline you'd also be charging extra for using the cassette emptying point and water taps ;)

So if I suggest we do a run to the wrong take away, I could increase the cassette revenue quite a lot. And sorry sir, you booked a 7m pitch and your motorhome is 7.05m, that will be extra. Just as well we are not like that on Fun.

Annie, asyou know I didn't put my name down as my second vaccination due those dates but maybe I'd best go on the reserve as they are bringing some forward. Don't want to mess you about lovely but if date doesn't change then I will have to drop out again. Xx

Light at the end of the tunnel weekend
April 15 - 19

This is your second opportunity to join lunarman and Riverbankannie on a peaceful and restful weekend at the lovely CL run by our very own Quackers, Brian and Helen. These dates sit nicely between Easter at Avon Banks and New Forest and campers could go directly from here to the New Forest site.

Located 2 miles from the M4 junction 18 on the A46 towards Stroud.

Link to website here
Woodsidefield.co.uk
The cost will be £40 for the 4 nights or £36 for 3 nights

This is a lovely rural site with a very large open space and adjacent walks in woodlands.
There are newly created drinking water and separate grey and black waste disposal points (cassettes only).

The site will open as a temporary campsite according to Jim ‘s guidelines here

Our rally program is presently suspended, however we are using our exemption to provision temporary campsites that members may use.

Booking of Temporary Campsites are made by individual members and they are not group events.

Regular events that you might organise on a traditional rally, such as coffee mornings, BBQ’s, Marquee entertainment, Karaoke etc cannot happen at the moment. Campsite visitors must abide by the current laws regarding social distancing and social bubbles.

This means at the moment, the rule of 6 applies. There should be no contact between social bubbles and to avoid any misunderstanding when on site, there must be at least 12m between such bubbles.

Rally Marshals have been replaced with Campsite Wardens. All campsite wardens must familiarise themselves with the Temporary Campsite Risk Assessments.

The chief warden will download a hard copy of the Risk Assessment. Add any specific risks they envisage and email the form to us.

Can I ask all members attending the Temporary campsites to:
• Abide by the instructions of the wardens.
• Maintain strict 1.5m plus Social Distancing
• Accept that you will not be able to park door to door unless you are from the same household bubble
• You bring with you a mask and plenty of sanitiser
• Accept that there are no group activities at all
• agree that you will not socialise in another’s motorhome

Payment by bank transfer (details given in PM) to Riverbankannie once we know that restrictions are eased and campsites are allowed to open. Full payment will be required in advance and I will post the date by which payment must be made to secure place on the list. However it is accepted that unavoidable cancellations will occur in which case if covid related a full refund will be issued. Cancellations for other reasons will attract a refund if the place can be filled by another funster on the reserve list.

There will be room for 15 units plus the campsite wardens. This will allow for a very good sized pitch and you may put up a popup for your own use only. Dogs and children are allowed.

All of the above subject to change as Government rules change as I am sure you all understand.

Riverbankannie. 🙂

Sorry Annie, we had tied this one in with Appletree's New Forest Event just over an hour away, but that has recent been cancelled for May. Unfortunately that means we shan't be able to make Woodside, as we won't be in the area. 😕

We hope this now allows someone else to move up from the reserve list.

Hope you all have a great weekend. 👍

Jock & Rita. 🙂

I think this event is now cancelled isn’t it?

After the twists and turns surrounding this thread, can we get a current update. I think it's cancelled but would like confirmation.
