Riverbankannie
LIFE MEMBER
CANCELLED
It is with deep regret that we have taken the decision today that it would be against the covid rules for April 12
Although commercial campsites will be allowed to open, we feel that this event whether it is called a Temporary Campsite or not, will to all intents and purposes be classed as a rally or gathering if examined by the police.
I am sure that you will understand that, as organiser, I would be liable for charges and fines so my head is telling me I cannot proceed.
Quackers will be opening as a Funster CL and will open the online booking for 15 - 19 April at 10:00 am tomorrow the 27 February. This hopefully will give you a chance to see this message and book individually if you wish.
We are currently looking at alternative dates and I will start a new thread and give you all that are currently on the list first refusal. Stop press 5 - 9 August looking likely.
I am as gutted as you but I hope you all understand my position.
Please let me know that you have see this message by replying on the thread

Light at the end of the tunnel weekend
April 15 - 19
This is your second opportunity to join lunarman and Riverbankannie on a peaceful and restful weekend at the lovely CL run by our very own Quackers, Brian and Helen. These dates sit nicely between Easter at Avon Banks and New Forest and campers could go directly from here to the New Forest site.
Located 2 miles from the M4 junction 18 on the A46 towards Stroud.
Link to website here
Woodsidefield.co.uk
The cost will be £40 for the 4 nights or £36 for 3 nights
This is a lovely rural site with a very large open space and adjacent walks in woodlands.
There are newly created drinking water and separate grey and black waste disposal points (cassettes only).
The site will open as a temporary campsite according to Jim ‘s guidelines here
Our rally program is presently suspended, however we are using our exemption to provision temporary campsites that members may use.
Booking of Temporary Campsites are made by individual members and they are not group events.
Regular events that you might organise on a traditional rally, such as coffee mornings, BBQ’s, Marquee entertainment, Karaoke etc cannot happen at the moment. Campsite visitors must abide by the current laws regarding social distancing and social bubbles.
This means at the moment, the rule of 6 applies. There should be no contact between social bubbles and to avoid any misunderstanding when on site, there must be at least 12m between such bubbles.
Rally Marshals have been replaced with Campsite Wardens. All campsite wardens must familiarise themselves with the Temporary Campsite Risk Assessments.
The chief warden will download a hard copy of the Risk Assessment. Add any specific risks they envisage and email the form to us.
Can I ask all members attending the Temporary campsites to:
• Abide by the instructions of the wardens.
• Maintain strict 1.5m plus Social Distancing
• Accept that you will not be able to park door to door unless you are from the same household bubble
• You bring with you a mask and plenty of sanitiser
• Accept that there are no group activities at all
• agree that you will not socialise in another’s motorhome
Payment by bank transfer (details given in PM) to Riverbankannie once we know that restrictions are eased and campsites are allowed to open. Full payment will be required in advance and I will post the date by which payment must be made to secure place on the list. However it is accepted that unavoidable cancellations will occur in which case if covid related a full refund will be issued. Cancellations for other reasons will attract a refund if the place can be filled by another funster on the reserve list.
There will be room for 15 units plus the campsite wardens. This will allow for a very good sized pitch and you may put up a popup for your own use only. Dogs and children are allowed.
All of the above subject to change as Government rules change as I am sure you all understand.
