Cancel that hamper.

We usually have a family do on boxing day, both our kids and grandkids. Can't see it happening this year but if we can meet with one other family it will have to be my younger son and his boys. Can't bear to think of him having his 50th birthday without any other family about. He on the other hand thinks I am nuts.
Will just have to wait and see.

It's usually New Year when we have our get together. I doubt that will happen this year - celebration for three major events cancelled but maybe we will be able to do something next year.

I am going to "strongly suggest" that we go away for a couple of nights in the van over Christmas - just staying locally, possibly on one of the forestry places where one is allowed to park up. I have no wish to meet up with strangers.

Christmas this year will be in the van
No decorations
For those we will ban
They'll be no tinsel, not even a tree
Christmas alone, for Caz and for me

Drive somewhere quiet, so lonely, so free
Christmas for saddos, for thats Caz and me
A big turkey? not this year
Just have a small crown
Why dont you get in the spirit, I hear you all frown.

No television, we'll make our own fun
Scrabble and hangman, i'll go for a run
A walk with the dogs, onto the sands
Christmas this year, we have just banned

No queueing in shops, no masks where we'll be
No visiting family, for Caz and for me
It sounds idyllic, remote in a camper
No stress, its so peaceful
Right Paul, go cancel that bloody hamper.
Don't be depressed mate. We've done the same for Christmas since 2007, great.
Head upto Grantown on spey. Great site, very quiet, hook up tv, local shops and pubs. You can even pick your haggis as its reared near here.
