Hi everyone :)

As above, please, but preferably on Amazon UK. I need one to use at home, for the MH and our ride on mower.

Thank you :)

How do you know you'll need an extension lead if you haven't got the inflator yet ?
They usually come with a decent length lead to reach all four corners

I already have a 12v inflator but also need a mains/12v one, too :)

It says;

"...this inflator offers up to 150PSI/10.34BAR of pressure...
...Using a 2.0Ah battery (included), the Ryobi R18MI-1C20GL inflates up to 11 double air mattresses or 41 bicycle tyres up to 65 psi on a single charge. This is a starter kit - battery and charger are included."

Will this be ok for MH tyres, please? It doesn't mention them, specifically. Also, will it do 4 MH tyres, if needed, without the battery running out, please? Thank you :)

It will be fine. You will be ‘topping up’ and not inflating from nothing (unless you have a complete flat) so you will be putting a few PSI in each tyre, so will not run out of battery in this scenario.. ✔️

Fabulous! And, how would I charge the battery if we're not on EHU, please? Is that possible, please?

I would charge it when you are on electric hook up or via your inverter if you have one? 😉

Hmm, ok. I don't have an inverter in the MH but I do have a small portable one that plugs into a 12v socket. It's for laptops etc. Do you think that would charge it, if necessary, please?

Hiya - just for context, I think you could top up all four tyres by 5psi each at least three or four times with a 2Ah battery on the Ryobi tyre inflator… when you’re on a hook up, or at home, just top up the battery via the mains so you’re ready for another 3-4 top ups whilst travelling.

Thank you SO much! I really, honestly appreciate your help. I'm finally getting to look forward to using our MH after all the disasters we've had and I'm trying to make sure that we mitigate any foreseeable problems, so that I can stay confident and ready for most things that might happen. I know I can't cover them all but, if I can at least feel in control of most of them, I stand a better chance of settling into it and actually enjoying it.....instead of literally sitting on the edge of my seat, waiting for something to go wrong!! xx

Well, I went ahead and ordered one of the Ryobi ones, on offer at £99.99 on 29th June (thank you to The Coops ) . Payment was taken from my CC the same day. Got an email confirming my order then......nothing. Rung them today to be told that they're out of stock and 'probably not getting any more', so they're issuing a refund. Apparently, 'the system should have refused orders when no stock was left but this didn't happen'. The guy was very apologetic and said it 'just isn't good enough'. No, he's right, it's not. So, I'm now looking for another one!! Jeez, why does everything happen to me?!?!?!?!? Nothing is ever straight forward

To top up I use my cycle Track pump, keeps you fit as well. It has an air guard but I also have a digital pressure gauge. Also have an Aldi mains compressor, run it until it blows off , put it in the back of the car and take it to check all MH tyres . It’s on wheels and is not too heavy .

It’s been less than 3 weeks. It’s the sort of minor inconvenience that happens to everyone all the time. I know you suffer from severe anxiety so quickly order another one. There’s another recommendation in the thread for not much more. Try not to catastrophize otherwise you’ll end up full of fear like last year and not want to use your van again.

That's great news. Positive attitude will help with potential problems. Best of luck (y)

I use this one from Costco although I’m sure there are similar if you’re not a Costco member. Lovely long power lead which reaches to the rear tyres from the dash. Plug it in, start your engine and off you go. Easy gets to 80 psi. No worries about inverters, EHU or battery capacity.

Just seen the mains requirement, obviously the above doesn’t do it, but stress free for the motorhome.

carolyn Thank you so much for your very thoughtful and caring reply. I really appreciate it. Yesterday, I was in crisis mode (I have a lot going on at the moment) and really could've just ended it all. You're right, on top of everyting else, these small things are enough to send me over the edge. Although this didn't feature in my crisis, I know it will have added to my anxiety level. It annoyed me, too, because they're still advertising it on their website. I wonder if they do this deliberately in the hope that some people will forget about it and they keep the money. A very bad practice, if they do. If they don't, why are they still taking orders??

Anyway, I'm ok today :) AND.....we're going away tomorrow.....in the MH!!!! We're not going far, or for long, but I'm really looking forward to it :) It will be our first time having to go to the Mairie to pay, so that alone will be an adventure!! :)

The tyre inflator can wait until we get back. I'm having no more stress for the next few days :) xx

Well done you!! It’s so often the case that it’s the bunny rabbit and not the elephant that can trip you up. You just need someone else to point it out sometimes that’s all. Anxiety can be a terrible thing and you’ve been so enthusiastic about your Motorhome recently I didn’t want to see you losing that. Enjoy your trip.

Supply chain issues seem to be affecting everything still.

Thank you SO much. It's good to know there are people out there who 'get it'. We just had some lovely friends visit from the next hamlet and we've had a great impromptu evening. I'm so happy now and really looking forward to tomorrow :) xx
